How to control the range in wiggle expression? In this video at 0:48 ,why the X/Y amplitude between output position and source position is more than 200? Thank you!
@Animoplex5 жыл бұрын
You can control the range in the expression using amplitude, the second value in the wiggle expression. For your second question, that's an error in the video. The Position Source on the left should say "1920, 1080, 100" but says "960, 540, 100" instead. However, the expression is working as intended on the right, moving 200 in value both positive and negative. This gives each number a range of 400. For example, the 1920 on the right wiggles from 1720 to 2120.

Can you wiggle individual path (like each corners of rectangle) with this expression?
@Animoplex5 жыл бұрын
The wiggle() expression doesn't have a lot of additional features or capabilities. However, it can be combined with other methods to achieve your intended use. You can connect path points to nulls (via a native AE script) and then apply the wiggle expression to those nulls. Here's a good video on the topic: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5OTgYCpm7qaecU

I want to know what is the role of octave and amplitude multiplier... ㅠㅠ
@Animoplex3 жыл бұрын
Here's some info about each from Adobe's reference site: Octave: "...is the number of octaves of noise to add together. This value controls how much detail is in the wiggle. Make this value higher than the default of 1 to include higher frequencies or lower to include amplitude harmonics in the wiggle." Amplitude multiplier "...is the amount that amp is multiplied by for each octave. This value controls how fast the harmonics drop off. The default is 0.5; make it closer to 1 to have the harmonics added at the same amplitude as the base frequency, or closer to 0 to add in less detail." More info here: helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/user-guide.html/after-effects/using/expression-language-reference.ug.html#property_attributes_and_methods_expression_reference
