how come when I do ctrl + alt + t to enable time warping, it doesn't create the 2 keyframes at start and end of the thing like it does in the tut? It just opens the time warp option, doesn't create the initial and finishing keyframes for me?

You have to create the keyframes, one at the beginning and another at the end. After this, you can delete the other keyframes that you haven’t created.

When I try to cut my clips because they are to long and I just want a little bit, I used Time remap and when I cut and drag the keyframes like you did in the video it just makes the WHOLE clip speed up... help

I CANNOT FIND A SINGLE AE TUT THAT ACTUALLY HELPS ME. It’s always “drag this one up and this one down”🙄 I follow the tut step by step and some how I never get it. My clips usually go into reverse or sum bs

then figure out where you're going wrong, try to figure out what something does and why it does that when you do this specific thing, for your velo reversing, your graph is going down below from it's previous point which rewinds the clip

If you press , on your numpad you will just preview the audio so you don't need to disable the video tracks. :)

I liked the way this turned out! But I have no idea what went wrong in AE when I tried it. The 1st clip started freezing on me when I tried stretching the time to fit my key frames, then when I got it unstuck, the clips started to play backwards. Just, good tutorial, just needs to be a little more new user friendly.

You can just create the keyframes by clicking the keyframe icon under the clip's layer, if it's not showing up, press the arrow button on the layer :)

this help me a lot to understand more about ae, except that i'm trying to edit a clip with multiple shots and i don't understand how to get the exact shot and reloads on sync points. I understand the time remap but I just cant figure out how to get the points I want on certain beats. every time I try to sync it up and then i do the time remap its all messed up and if i do the time remap first then the shots aren't synced to the beat its just some random part of the video. Please help.
