Hello again Mikey! SOMEHOW (promise not me), I was no longer subscribed nor had notifications on, and thought you quit making videos. So glad you are still making videos as learned a ton from you, AND, I am going to contact my YoouTube rep and ask WHAT THE HELL?? :)

Really cool plug in. Will definitely help with certain motion graphics scenes. Heck, you can even use this for 2D game compositions/animations.

Cool video, Mikey, thanks. I am curious about how it compares to Newton, naturally. Would you consider doing a comparison/contrast video of the two showing pros and cons of both? Or perhaps just a short/main list here in the comments? Thanks!

Newton has more features but what PhysicsNOW does it does it better. This pinball machine would be super hard to do in Newton. Being able to do everything in the timeline instead of a separate window is awesome. I think a couple of updates and it will have most of the Newton features.

@@LongLiveMikey Thanks! As my wife would say, "Por que no los dos?" ;)

@@LongLiveMikey Although I think I just found a major difference/drawback. PhysicsNOW does not appear to work with older versions of AE. For me that is a deal-killer unfortunately.

Is it possible to clamp the rotation of shapes inside a simulation? For example, I don’t want the shapes in a simulation to have their rotation completely locked, but I don’t want them to rotate all over the place either. Basically, is there a way to tell to the simulation to not rotate the shapes between for example -22° and 22° ?

can it do what Newton 3 can? I am wondering which one to buy

It doesn't have as many features yet, but there are some major advantages for what it can do.

Really cool... It might solve problem i had recently: Can you somegow stick a drop of coffe to a mug so the drop's anchor is on the edge of the mug and the drop respects gravity (it's always oriented down)? (Ways I found to do it was only newton plugin, or animation by hand. Do you maybe know how to do it with this plugin or some expression?)

there is an option in this plugin to lock the rotation of the layer, is that what you mean?

@@LongLiveMikey I'm talking about rotation being calculated normally, but the shape having its anchor point fixed(to another object that is moving - with keyframe animation). Another example would be if there's rigged character and you want to give him handbag that automatically swings when he moves the hand (you link the bag to the hand or hand controll null and it follows the position of the hand while also automatically being oriented towards ground additionally it could have some overshoot on the movment to simulate the weight and follow through).

That capability is not available yet. But I’ve requested dangle/rope/hair dynamics which could do that.

Hello... is there a way to release objects/elements from the influence of this script within the same timeline? For instance, I have text that I would like to be affected by the Physics Now plugin and then, once they've "ended up" in their respective positions, I'd like to remove the physics influence to animate them with simple keyframes... I hope I mad sense there.

This plug in and Newton 3 need to have a baby together. :D

This one is planning a pretty big end of summer. bringing it much closer to the Newton features.
