Hey! It's the bottom of an elipse shape with a little blur and noise effect on it. I masked it in a rectangular shape so you only see the bottom part of the eclipse.

How do we make the books first? Illustrator? What about setting the animation up? You're starting too far for those of us who don't know AE well.

Hey! Most of my tutorials are for people with a basic knowledge of AE and AI. I'm planning to make more beginner tutorials in Illustrator and After Effects. So I'm sorry that this video couldn't help you but hopefully somewhere in the near future I have got some time to create some more entry level tutorials that could be helpful for you :) Would you be interested in a basic course in Illustrator and After Effects?

Camp Keyframe I’ve made one animation in AE using a tutorial. I don’t have an issue animating so much as drawing pieces and importing them from AI to AE.
