Hey! That's weird. The description for the trial version says: "The trial version lasts for 7 days, limits you to four sliders per Slider Null, and disables the ability to move your controllers to a parent composition." So it would seem that the trial version is not the problem. Did you make sure to exactly follow the tutorial? Gotta say that I don't know what the problem could be haha.

Hi, I keep getting this error: This project contains expression errors: error 1 of 5 Error at line 1 in property 'Position' of layer 9 ('FACE NULL') IN comp 'Face_animation'. Please, how do i go about this?

Hey! I think that's not the error but this is an error message about where the actual error is. So in this case, there is an error in an expression somewhere on layer 9. If you can locate the error and let me know what it is, maybe I can help! :)

Sir, i am using joystick v1.5 when i use parent composition, it says (this comp must be nested in another to move your controller to a parent comp ) How to solve this error ? Kindly help me sir waiting for you answer...

Hey Vikram! Sorry for the late reaction, haven't got around to it because of a hectic week, sorry! This error occurs when your joysticks animation isn't in a parent composition. What this means is that when you're animating your rig in a composition (let's call it 'HEAD COMP' for now) isn't placed in a another composition (for example a composition with multiple heads in it) So your HEAD COMP must be placed inside another comp, here you can use the option for parent composition. This way your head rig handles can be visible. Is that clear? Hope this helps :) Cheers!

Well of course this channel is great! haha. I can also recommend the channel: Mt. Mograph here on KZbin, that's a great one and it taught me a lot! I learned everything by watching tutorials on KZbin so no education or books. You should also watch a lot of animations (a lot of cool ones are on vimeo) and try to recreate those, just to practice. That is a great way to get a nice feeling for movements and timing. I'm going to upload a tutorial soon where I tell about how you can create better and smoother animations in general. So look out for that! :)

Did you make sure that the keyframes you made are in the right position? So on the first keyframe = neutral second keyframe = right third keyframe = left fourth keyframe = up fifth keyframe = down These have to be in that exact order. Also if you don't edit the movement for a layer (for example on the 'up' keyframe, you don't move the nose) make sure you DO create the keyframe. Let me know if this works for you, if not, we'll figure it out :)

Yeah it's possible. You can for example have one Joystick for the head, one joysticks for the face and another joystick for just the eyes.

yes but i'm trying to find a tuto explaining it clearly, for example your tuto is really good, because your approach with the nul is better, cause y-the joystick n slider one, is too minimal...if one day you have time and envy, maybe it'll be great to show us how to deal with that
