you can take recommendation letter from the professors that were not from your department, who has taught you the minor subjects. example : a teacher of mine had taught me the arabic subject that were my minor subject and that professor was not from my department, he was from "arabic" department. so i can take a recommendation letter from him beacuse he also had taught me during my studies.
