The delay came as we worked through KZbin’s copyright system, but with some help, we’re finally able to deliver it as a complete experience. The style of this video is a first for us, especially deepening how we absorbed the music. You guys nailed it. I been saying this how Abel and The Weeknd are two separate people. The Weeknd persona he is, is what the industry wants him to be especially with this trilogy he talks so much about wanting to leave this life behind to become just Abel. Especially with his last album coming up already theres been so many songs that refer to how Abel sold away his life for the fortune and fame but he just wants to be Abel and how he’s trying to find his Faith again after losing himself to this Weeknd persona. I always get so much shit when I say Weeknd is still underrated. Everyone comes back with numbers and awards and shit like that, but that’s not what I’m talking about. The level of his ARTISTRY is underrated. When you want to introduce someone to an artist for the first time and you have to go back to his first mixtape and go forward to fully understand and fully appreciate his 8th album a decade later, that’s artistry. Even the sounds have their own cohesion throughout an album and also his discography. Everything feels meticulously orchestrated and cinematic. Like you can absolutely be a fan of The Weeknd off his singles and a couple deep cuts here and there, there’s nothing wrong with that. He’s a generational talent just off that. But that’s all so surface level to his true artistry underneath, and that’s the part I don’t think people understand and the part that makes him a legend. Abel isn’t Prince, he’s not MJ, but his head absolutely belongs on that mountain.

Great video! It’s amazing to see how far you guys have come since the Utopia reaction. Once you finish the superior trilogy, you guys should consider reacting to Pink Floyd’s 4-album run from the 70s, from Dark Side of the Moon to the The Wall. It’s old, but it still holds up amazingly today, and it’s an ethereal experience to listen through for the first time.

Faaaaaaaaam! Its so good to see you guys reviewing an album this creative and cohesive. I personally think this is one of the greatest albums of all time not only because of the songs, because of how much he believed and carried it with him. Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel’s performance of Blinding Lights and adding that cut to the cinematic performance of the After Hours music video where we first get to hear glimpses of other songs in the record. AMA performance, VMAs with the tape around his head, Save Your Tears, just to end it all at the worlds biggest stage at the superbowl. It was just perfect🥲.
