I admit it was a surprise to see Rena remember such a promise made when she was such a little girl. I'm glad Kai was able to be honest and eventually fulfil it, especially given he thought it was only to bolster her sagging confidence. She worked hard on her appearance, which ultimately paid off. Cute story though and great VOAs too.

From what I observed from these mangas, is that you should NEVER promise anything because they will make sure you keep that promise no matter what. 3:33 "There's now way you can't get married because you're fat, and don't think you should cut back to lose weight" Really bad advice from the MC. She should lose weight for health reasons...The marriage can come later, it's merely optional. 10:34 "No it was my fault for agreeing to the proposal seven years ago casually." Correct. 14:10 "So to be honest, I had no intention of marrying you. I'm really sorry" I thought he was about to return her to the streets.

Kai and Rena did in the end it all worked out, Kai learned a passion without fun means wasted energy if love isn't poured into a passion you care about. One should never play with marriage even to lift a females spirit up never cause it gives them false hope be uplifting without promises you can't keep. Good story telling
