Nice modernization! Question, now that these elevators go as high as 20, whereas the original elevators went as high as 18 and there were 2 mechanical floors above, did the building owners gut out the top 2 mechanical floors, extend the shafts and rebuild the roof and machine room on top of a new 20th floor?

Well it looks like they still got some of the Touch Sensitive blood in them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They do make noise as they run but they run the exact same as before, including stopping on random intermediate floors!!!!!!!!!!!!! The building lobby looks the same as before including the elevator bank but the upper floors are what look different because the building is now a hotel. I do like the chimes when they elevators arrive, they are very cool. I also like the destination dispatch key pad and how it talks. It can be confusing on how to operate it though, especially with the Miconic 10 one since you have to memorize the floor you're going to go to and for us elevator enthusiasts the highest floor in the building, but here it already says it on the key pad so you can just press the floor you want to go to. Otis did a great job modding these to Compass but I and all of us here will miss the old Autotronic Touch Sensitive elevators. But they can still be remembered with the remaining blood in them that are now in the Compass mod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This elevator could still be partially running on its original controller. It's definitely running on its original motor. They didn't totally upgrade this thing.
