"VIRGIN", a new definition on beauty
After School is back with their full album "VIRGIN", May of 2011, with previously-hidden lovely and feminine sentiments. The values sought after by After School, such as modern and refined sentiments, confident attitude, independent way of thinking, and the view on inner beauty, are told through music.
As their first full-length album, all the songs of the album are worthy to be title songs, written by composers including Daishi Dance and Song Yang-Ha. The title song "Shampoo" has one of the best musical arrangements, written by the poet and composer Won Tae-Yun and the top Japanese composer Daishi Dance, with detailed and sentimental melodies played on the piano, as the softly expressed vocals and powerful rap come in harmony together.

Tyler Pointer i miss afterschool so much :( i read that their label is having financial trouble, so a comeback seems unlikely. :( makes me sad because imo afterschool DESERVED to be a top tier girl group. im not exactly sure what happened, seems like lots of drama behind the scenes (not between members, but label wise and lots of bad decisions/mismanagement). i think it would be best if we left afterschool as a memory of the past and have orange caramel derive from their label and find someone new to host them. its sad, but i think its for the best. rip afterschool

only if pledis stoped the "graduation" concept at this time they would have been so popular this is why they ran out of money they keep taking audition for the new school girl it takes alot of money ofc and by this line-up they have it all they have jungah and raina as the vocal line they have uee kahi bekah and e-young as the dancer line they have juyeon nana uee and lizzy as the visual line they have bekah kahi and uee ast the rapper line and if they use kahi and e-young as the composer for the group's songs and choreo they would make a great composing line since e-young are playing instrumentals so she can make samples for the songs and kahi can adjust the choreo,so far this is my best afterschool line-up concept tittle track and also album

*EVERYTIME I WATCH THIS VIDEO + HEAR THIS SONG, I GET SO SAD! (XC)* ~~ This was probably the time where After School was at their prime (passed the era of "Because of You"). They were gaining SUCH a steady fanbase during this era (especially with their tap dancing choreography) + I thought they really knew who they were as a group here. Then Bekah left, then Kahi, now Jooyeon. While I love all of the members (former + current), I wish they could've stayed with this line-up; It was their strongest. Bekah was SUCH a good rapper + Kahi was the best dancer + great vocalist/rapper/leader (Not to mention they helped, along with Jungah, give AS a mature image). When Bekah left + they claimed the "graduation concept," I knew it wouldn't end well. They did subunit promotions, then Kahi left. Now, Jungah is the only original member left + there is a HUGE gap in age between her + the other members. Orange Caramel is being pushed to the front, UEE is acting, and E-Young + Kaeun are barely seen. Now, the group, After School, is near to not existing + I'm fearful for their future. Most groups fear the dreaded '5-year curse,' + AS was great to have passed it, but like some groups that were popular near/around that time (2008-2009), they are slowly vanishing/losing popularity as a whole. totally agree.... since orange caramel are so active nowadays, they barely make a comeback after the first love...its been a year, i hope this year the make an album. i miss them. I Love afterschool i always watch their videos where bekah is there, i really miss bekah being with this group kahi also both of them gives such a charismatic and sexy mature image. pledis disappoints me also after i read the article about real reason why bekah has to forced out of the group, it kills me :( Graduation system makes them lost many of their fans, even on awardings they lost chances, tssk. but im still looking forward on their comeback. Ever since I discovered this song a month or two ago, I've listened to it probably around 200 times and it seriously never gets old. It's so cleverly written and I remember when I first looked up the lyrics translated I cried my eyes out. After School doesn't get as much attention as the deserve. In my eyes they will always be the best girl group.

Yep they are so underated and this song must be their most underated one too out of their singles, they always perform diva,bang,because of you,first love, flashback I rarely see them perform Shampoo lately, it has such a nice choreo and lyrics :D and the melody is sooo sweet and smooth to the ear! They should get way more credits for the efforts that they are doing.

I literally know the choreography from watching the live versions so much. In my opinion the choreography is fun and creative instead of hardcore (Flashback, First Love) and I would like to see them perform shampoo more often with this generation with like Kaeun filling in for Kahi's parts and Eyoung getting Bekah's.
