Let's be honest here.. RHONY has been iconic since season 1! Their first season without a doubt was more entertaining than OC's. I love OC but New York has arguably been the best of the whole housewife franchise.

Ramona's technically not wrong, RHNY certainly produced the first mega star of Bravo "Bethenny" and the people on NY housewives were certainly wealthier than the OC housewives. Everyone on OC housewives was way overspending on their lifestyle. There had been 2 or 3 seasons of Orange County when New York premiered, and it was a very average reality show with little actual drama. Another commenter probably said it true that Teresa Giudice made Housewives a pop culture phenomenon with the table flip.
