Never really knew how to play Void Spirit So is there any reason to not max 3rd skill first? Is it because the numbers don't scale well?

It depends on matchup and situations, like if you are going to fight a lot for runes with supps or if you are laning against someone you can trade better with kill potential, Q+E is a lot better and give you win condition; in lanes that you are in a bad spot, leveling W will give you the most farm potential, you can clear waves more safely. Either way, majority of people I have seen take 2 points in E by level 3 for lane purposes, then you can pivote for what is best for you, but aiming for max lvl dissimilate by level 7 has its advantages aswell (1-4-1-1 or 0-4-2-1)

if u see Void Spirit that way, thats a u issue and u just dont know how much he deals damage with certain builds. whether it may be physical or magical
