I use a 200 dollar projector at 1080p and it's great for big screen experience at that price. I watch it fine with ambient light but of course it's greater in a dark room if i had a way to add a Pic here I'd show you how good it is with some lights on. So those saying projectors are crap they have their uses one is price per screen inch and nothing like watching the game at 100 inches.

An 8k tv is overkill and there's barely any 8k and 4k content at least has more content or unless you game in 4k is good but 8k is still far from anything we're barely getting to 2k/1440p being the standard of gaming and movies unless you buy 4k DVD or you subscription support it it will do but 8k nah man waste of money
