@@buzzcagney8957 I wouldn't put that question to Afro Man, but I do question where his family and close friends were when he was supposedly living alone in a tent. Everyone want to show up for the funeral tho, while the cries for help go ignored when they were alive

@@f.mazz.459 Well it also goes to Afro coming down to his funeral in all clowny colours with all gold and cup on that he could have used to help his so called old respected neighbourhood. This is just another statement for the hypocrism of our society. Also the 2 before calling him genius are repeating that like they need something good to tell.

Sounds cliché but the fact is those of us who never grew up in a gang war zone will never understand what it took to survive, therefore he was a genius on that level and to have influenced people globally takes more than survival instinct. I read his 1st book locked up. I am white and as such was affiliated along those lines[no you tube banging im a drop out I saw the light] so I had to hide the fact that I was reading it. It was the first time I saw this through a black man's eyes a righteous one at that. I won't say that was my turning point but it certainly opened my eyes to the fact that there is no one underdog if the system we fall victim to is this corrupt. Rest easy mr shakuer we win some we lose some. Thank you for your writings. I'm sorry you went alone in a tent. May the night terrors and sweats plague you no more.

I think monster doesn't get enough credit as an author. His book is the best of its sort. Not just crip/blood book. Which book in the category "biography of a criminal" has absolutely blown away every last person who has read it? Monsters book got translated in almost all big languages, and everybody who has read it thinks the book is special. Its the favourite book, of millions of people worldwide. A lot of people (like myself) have read the book 10 times. can anyone bring forward a book in that category that can match kodys?

I normally cringe when I see people in comments state where they're from but I'm letting it be known I'm from the UK. I've known about Monster Kody from the late 90s. I bought but never managed to finish his book. My mum did though and she was fascinated by his life. He was an icon. His legacy travelled and I want to be clear, not for his murders. For his will to change. If you've been a gangster for 30 years, how long does it take one to turn that around? I'm truly saddened to just be learning of his passing and condolences and love to his people. A wise man once told me, your skin colour is your uniform. One love.

T.I.P. Monster. He will be missed. I got a major question though. Where was Lil Monster during the funeral? Regardless of their differences, they were family at the end of the day.

@@youngboysnation Right. I said that. I was asking why he didn't come regardless of that fact. Like, I said, they were still family at the end of the day bro. And why did he disown him? They were still brothers.

@@fuzzybutkus3951 where was I? I could care less about him, but he was a good friend of my friend way back before his book. I'm just saying, all these people are eulogizing this man just to get some clout like he was , nvrmd. Obviously they didn't give 2 f*cks either , he wasn't at nice guy or good person by any stretch, they know that as well, but all come out when he dies . Give me a break

You have no clue as to the dynamics involved. It was monster himself who pushed others away because he was ashamed of his conditions. The conditions were a direct result of his choices. Didn’t want to be seen like that - he embraced his ostracism and wasn’t crying for help. He went out on his own terms.

Also mafioso capos get born into a rich circle. Most of the real poor dudes doing it are used as targets for bullets.
