Going into this video I thought - of course she's going to work into many teams, she can be a part of a double geo core with zhongli - which people built with albedo years ago. Bingo. But you have to also consider that people thought of this already and all of the times the big 3 four stars are better (let's not even count the 5 stars like kazuha or furina that have insane f2p value - that's just overkill for the "you shouldn't have skipped chiori" premise). People skipped because they probably already have something better that doesn't require you to put in a mandatory zhongli in there (her damage is only a little bit higher if not the same than albedo in no construct teams). And most players that wanted to pull for her (including myself because she is voiced by AyaTake in jp) hoped for a Navia synergy - which we got none of sadly. Well not exactly, they are strong together because Chiori can create more shards for navia off field with basically zero downtime, but then hoyo said hahaha well too bad you need c1 in order to get chiori's double puppets in no construct teams. The community determined that the damage she brings is only a little bit better than a zhongli in this certain team at c0 while also trading zhongli's massive comfort factor. Not to mention most navia players use serpent spine (zhongli synergy again) - I don't have Itto (although I want him, same as the other badass characters like cyno, I can't because I will always prefer the waifus) - I don't have not even a single copy of Gorou because I never pulled on any Itto banner because I don't want to accidentally get him even on early pities, and - I overall just don't like the absolute state of geo being in it's own ooga booga world not interacting with any of the other elements meaningfully. I don't like the premise of this video (no hate tho) because people do not think she is useless, in fact, they just OBJECTIVELY know that she is worse in all teams except in geo teams (another can of worms which Navia saved herself from). I also didn't regret skipping after watching this - because there isn't even a comparison for the team these characters actually use, which I 100% think would clear faster and be better for most drawn out fights like boss floors (also weird that the showcase takes place in a domain and not the abyss where rotations and energy for the team actually matter, but I'll let it slide). I regret not pulling for the character herself (personality, voice, design, story that kind of thing) - not the gameplay aspect of it. believe me when I love a character enough I will pull even if I know that they're probably going to be bad, I was one of the players that actually pulled for dehya in day 1 of her banner . But asides from the godly design, voice, personality, and the ora ora burst - we also get the potential of actually fitting into most teams by herself, and creating her own very specific niche (even if it took a year) in some cases like neuvilette burgeon. Tl:dr, I dislike what hoyo did to Chiori and the video premise is not objective enough for this argument, again no hate though.

I respect the time you spent writing this huge of a comment, and I agree for the most part (except the waifu part), and I have one thing to add that might be helpful in some way. It's that Chiori will probably be broken with arlecchino, it's because in arlecchino teams it's necessary to have Bennett and zhongli, and you'll have a left slot (you might say xingqiu or yelan but they're not that necessary because she won't be able to vape all her attacks anyways), so in my opinion chiori will be as good as xingqiu or yelan or maybe in some cases a better option (I might be wrong about the yelan because I don't have her yet but I'm so sure about xingqiu)

i was so happy to get chiori bcuz it will complete my triple geo noelle furina... and then DISSAPOINTED when gorou flag isn't a geo building... she's just a part of premium geo personalized team.

She works with ningguang, itto, zhongli, geo traveler, albedo. But sadly if you want her to work with other geo characters you'll need her c1. But if you didn't know if she uses only one doll she's then as strong as albedo, so one doll is still really strong.

Ngl bro the fact that you put her before Bennett buff meaning that you'd rather have more Bennett uptime on your carry than have her Ult be buffed shows how good she is. Most of these teams would do fine without her and even better with some other supports. She's in no way useless but for a 5 star she's not that great. This is coming from someone with a maxed out Chiori.

I really didn't pay attention to the burst dmg because I was too lasy to change the team position. And I haven't maxed out her burst yet. With all these conditions her burst will definitely deal over 100k dmg.

@@nineo_osix5049 her dolls every one of them was doing as you said 23k every 3 seconds so in total 46k, and now let's add those strikes she does every couple of seconds (each does ~40k) so in total she soes ~80k dmg every 3 seconds.

I actually did with klee wanderer and her team was slightly better if you don't have c6 faruzan like me, but I haven't tried her yet with other characters. I have something to add, it's that she can be a great replacement for furina or kazuha or Xiangling if you have them on the other half (I talking about the spiral abyss)
