I’m a medical doctor myself, a Christian and I’ve always wanted to be a missionary since I was little but hearing her story is both encouraging and daunting. What a brave woman.

The will and emotion(feelings), the other two aspects of OUR personality(soul) , MUST equally also ACQUIESCE if one is to experience the Kingdom in its' vibrancy and power. Why would God never tell us why or give us any closure though? That’s literally the kind of torture that narcissists do
@TheAkinzo12 жыл бұрын
@@nadinegomez8858 thanks for your question. It seems like torture but it's really a call to deeper faith in God. We must first recognise God as love because that is who He is, and also that He loves us. He would never do any thing or allow any situation (as illogical as it may seem) to lead us down a wrong path. It's always for our good. A narcissist does not aim to do this and this is where the difference lies. Nadine, God truly loves you, no matter what.

Yet he never lived to see the fullness of this faith in this life. He will see it when he is in eternity. Now for those in hell. They will live in eternity never having answers.

I met Helen once at the headquarters of WEC ( World Evangelisation Crusade) at a conference. After she gave our group an inspirational talk, an announcement came over the tannoy asking for a volunteer to help with dish washing in the kitchen. She rushed off to help and I was so impressed by her attitude - none of the ‘I am the important speaker’ stuff, just a humble person hurrying to help.

Just this morning in my prayer time, I was finally able to tell the Lord that after a terribly hard time, I could now say that I trust him, even if he never tells me why, and I added, "I know you have very real reasons, so I thank you even for this." You might imagine my shock at the end of this video when she says the Lord asked her, "Can you thank me for entrusting you with this experience, even if I never tell you why?" When the Lord does things like this, it really upholds us even in great trials. I'm still in shock.

What country did this happen in ? I'm asking because if this happened in 1964, most of the African colonies didn't get their independence yet. Was the country in question a British colony ? If so, the hatred of the colonizers' drove these rebel forces to go after anyone British. The soldier was wrong to attack non- combatants like that poor woman in this story. He should have attacked British soldiers then, if he wanted the English out !! I can understand throwing out colonizers' very well, but they ought not to do as they did. I washed and dressed my wife for 15 years until her death. AS bgan to praise Him not understanding why He strengthened me through it so often. As a little boy my early years were in an orphanage after being left on a doorstep, I had to fight bullies. The Lord had to change the hardness and frustration, anger in my heart. When I was a seventeen-year-old high school senior in the fall of '87, I met and fell in love with Tim, the man who would be my first serious boyfriend as well as my first best friend and future husband. Not long after we met, Tim told me the heart breaking news that he had been diagnosed as HIV positive, many years before there was a treatment approved for in the US. To say yes to the relationship would put my heart and body in danger and would mean putting off having children indefinitely. However, none of that mattered because never before had I been loved so fiercely yet tenderly at the same time. I had Tim in my life very briefly. I knew him for seven and a half years and was married to him for the last four and half years of his life. At times it feels SO unfair to love and be loved so intensely, only to have his life snuffed out like "a candle in the wind." I don't think God took Tim; it was the devil who used depression to push Tim into risk taking behaviors that led to him contracting HIV. And yet, I do believe God chose to steer together because we needed each other's love and acceptance and although the enemy cut Tim's life VERY short (he was a month short of turning 32 when he went to Heaven), he couldn't kill the love Tim and I share. The hope I have that I will be reunited helps keep me going and God uses how He has healed and comforted me to bless others. So although I am sure the devil got away with something when Tim died, and I am thankful God trusted me with such precious cargo as my precious, but broken husband, who was much more whole when he got home!

@@MrGrey-zc2cy the pain came from evil & greedy & selfish men, such as we all are to some degree & can grow to greater degrees in arrogance & pride & the lack of Love. But God in Love who is eternal, as our Sister here also is endured the temporary knowing she would both forgive them & pray for their salvation such that ‘hot coals would be placed upon their heads’ & their sin will find them out. Just as it has happened to all of Gods people from Abel through Jesus to now. Peace.

I was assaulted before the age of 4 by multiple men, and the abused by my adopted father, God I belive put me on this path because I was stronger for it and it allows me to help many young girls and women harmed in such away, this I couldn't do if I had asked "why me?" Instead I know it had to be me, because God knew I would become worthy of my path. And I thank him everyday for this.

Yes, the least advertised or talked about and probably least requested fruit of the Spirit of God = Long Suffering. ‘Can you thank Me for trusting you with this suffering even if I never tell You why?’ Wow, that’s not from this world at all. That’s heavenly thinking, knowing that the body is super temporary & no one can do anything to our Spirit. That’s eternal & is now. Peace to all.
