Meena winning with no experience makes sense in that this series is based on Englot and Engfa had no experience as well and she still won irl. The series is very confusing 😅 But this is the most coherent ep so far 😅 The almost kiss was real, coz they showed Sherene thinking about it in ep6. So only the wedding scene was a dream. They cut a lot coz fans wanted less Faye and Organ 😅 The confession being after the pool scene works in that the timing mks it so they can't really talk about it since Meena is so busy after winning. Which is very on brand with irl Englot 😅 It helps to not think of SML as a normal series. It's like a retelling of Englot's journey. It's far from perfect, and unfortunately it was made for those who know their irl journey.

I think this series is so confusing because at first it was supposed to be a « cute » series with light skinship but as Englot became way more comfortable in real life Nawat told the director to add love scenes halfway of the shooting which completely changed the atmosphere of the series and they had to change the plot a lot and delete some scenes that’s why it feels so rushed

🤣😂😂 Your frustration/Confusion has me on the floor... At this point, I just Watch this like I did the highwayturtle2 Clips, which were way better. Just to see them interact. They should have gotten professionals to write this because their acting is good, they just don't have much written to act out. Engfa/Meena in real life also won without prior experience but she put in the work which they failed to showcase in the script. The fact that they had Faye confess her feelings in the previous teaser but did not show it in the episode, Just Cherine mentioning it shows that this show was edited terribly.

I think the bed scene happened but when Sherene pulled back Meena stopped. Both of them had daydreams about that scene so those are my thoughts. The wedding scene was Meena's dream because she fell first based on what they said behind the scenes previously. The pool scene they said was them checking to see if they were both on the same page with feelings so I think that was also real but how they got to that no one knows and why would you be checking to see if they were on the same page while thinking she was dating someone else? This was both Engfa and Charlotte's first pageant in real life and Engfa did win and Charlotte top 10. In real life Engfa did a lot of research but yeah in the series Meena winning it doesn't fit as well. Although someone said Sherene's journey was more about healing and Meena was about changing her life so who knows. I believe the prize is a cash prize and a contract which usually includes a number of sponsorship jobs. They also get to travel to different provinces to do meet and greets. So exposure, jobs, gifts from fans, etc. The extra love scenes were added towards the end by the Boss so that part was rushed indeed. I believe he thought that would sell since he planned to charge to watch. He also suddenly thought of a possible season 2 and had more changes made to the script talking about developing other characters when the focus should have remained on showing who the main two or four are. I would love to see the original script, plot and scenes. The real relationship was a slow burn so we weren't expecting a bunch of love scenes. The series would have been more of the earlier episodes and yeah the relationship hadn't physically developed until lately so them doing a bunch of making out and love scenes isn't natural to them. Fans freaked out if a part of their body touched each other that's how much of a slow burn it was. We were just hoping for a kiss lol

It's not that confusing if you are following englot.. so basically in the series the wedding one is the only intimate scene that it's a dream, the one in the bed and the one in the pool is real. Engfa first came to Bangkok for singing, she was a contestant on the voice but didn't make it and then she got into the beauty pageant world. She won miss grand Thailand 2022 and was the first runner up in miss grand international 2022, she did that with no experience in the area, just like her character in the series. As for Charlotte, I don't really know her story but I do know that she and her mother not in touch since she was very young, she is the only child of her parents, her father was the one raising her(he has sons from another woman). And as for englot - Engfa is part of the LGBTQ community, she said it from the beginning of the mgt competition, she flirted with Charlotte a lot and admitted for liking her but they still only present themselves as P'&N', sisters and al of this 😅 For their communication, there simply not it.. those girls act like 2 years old all the time, they don't know what talking is, they are or very close to each other or sulking and not talking to each other, literally the definition of from 0 to 100 and nothing in between. But their chemistry is too strong and they are too lovable that you just can't not love them

But in real life Engfa won against people that were doing this for years. And if I’m not mistaken, it was her first and last try because of age limit. For the series I agree that cherine should’ve won. It would make more sense. I think they should’ve invested more time in creating the plot for the series. And used Engfa and charlotte to play the main characters. No need to be based in their real life. Because people were eager too see them anyway as long as they’re playing as a couple.

I agree so much with you on this!! I mean everyone is so excited about this series and I really wanted to be as well, and most of all not compare to Gap, because I hoped that were two different stories. But at this point I really think that they gave us this series just to do Englot fan service. There is no storyline, no context.. I mean c’mon!!! I really wanted to be good and to be a new GL with a fresh story and some new pov, but I am sorry to say that that’s not the case. And I also think that the fan base deserved better than this. I hope to see some evolution in the next two episodes, after that the all competition thing has finished!

They deleted the part where Heidi post the pics and Faye’s confession just because the fans said no more organ and Faye that’s why it’s so confusing, unfortunately I think this series isn’t doing engfa and charlotte any justice watching them in real life is much more interesting we can all feel the chemistry and how much they love each other, for someone who doesn’t know englot it’s not a fair introduction 😢

I could have dealt without Organ. They had too many plots going on. But I think they should have left the Faye scene. I get the hard-core, fans want all Englot, but the love triangle involved Meena directly, so they should have showed the emotional journey of the confession and just made the episode 10 minutes longer. This edit was so freakin confusing. Did Cherine find out about the confession before or after the pool scene? It would have helped the mindset better to know why after she turned away in the bed scene, which we all thought was a cherine dream, that she suddenly went to kiss her (and possibly more) in the pool scene and still not get that Meena likes her.

They including myself.. said there was too much organ and other side storylines. ep 6 was a mess.. no one said cut it all... we just didn't want their back stories or 3-4 scenes of organ screaming and throwing shoes haha. It was too much!! But they probably should've included some of it for context.. lol. especially the faye confession. But I'm not gonna complain.. they took all the other instructions and made this episode so much better. Ep 7 was really good. The series overall needs lots of improving... especially editing, but also writing (i believe the MGT CEO wrote it from what i heard) Like it's all amateurs making this.. haha. How you gonna leave out a whole plot that related to the Meena/Cherine part. 😂😂

I like how honest, truthful, and brutal you are in your criticism for the series. 👍 It not a good portrayal of wlw series. They have just make it cheaply with a 'nowhere to be found' plot! I agree with you! There were no plot, no buildup, and no background for the intimate scenes! And what is with the makeup?? It is not how people take bath, go to pools or do everyday work! It was cringy! 😵‍💫 They wanted to make the series about the beauty pageant and the couple portrayal was just for the trend. That is their mistake. It should have been about the love story, how and why they felt attracted to each other, what they love about each other, how they confess and how their story make them happily engaged! Alas! It's not. I know they said it's their first, but somehow the starting of the series is wrong. They could have taken time and nurture the story more to be counted as one of the better portrayal of wlw series! 😪

I agree with you about the mother. For that I can say about that is some parents or mayority of them don't realize that they actually made mistakes with their actions or no actions at all with their children and then they blame their children for feeling things that they don't feel they did wrong. For example saying something like: go get help if you think you need it like it's something yours, not mine.

They went close at the end of the pageant and they had to separate because Engfa had stuff like Miss Grand, then they reunite and are always doing sponsorships stuff. I think they put both of the scenes from BTS because people's complaining about they cut those parts in episode 6 and now they are saying that almost kiss in the room really happened because now was Meena thinking about it, so they not kiss because Sherine panicking at the very end. About the pool scene, at this point I don't know if was Meena's imagination or it really happened. They cut the Faye's confession, maybe also because of all of that complaining on twitter, and they should left it because is related directly with Meena/Sherine. About the crown, the series is based on them in real life and Engfa was who won Miss Grand Thailand.

I think It would have been better if they had made a movie and spend more time in the devolopment of the plot and the building of the charecters Maybe is made in a rush, because I don't think they made like a lot of promotion of the series, like Gap that I remember watching the teaser almost a year a go before earing (like february 2022) or the next series "Be mine", but from this I had no memory more than 3-4 months ago.

Personally I get what is happening there was only one dream from meena ( the wedding scene) the bed scene actually happened and we are seeing it again in a flashback/ memory also in ep.6 charlotte had a flashback of the moment as well, which is telling me they both valued that moment and it opened up some tension for them. Now the pool scene makes perfect sense to me because they went through all the stages before that, 1. they have a crush on eachother 2. they flirt/ treat each other different 3. they have this tension when close to each other 4. they almost share a kiss twice and then 5. they actually kiss. To me the pool scene flows because if your crush/the woman you like comes up to you in a pool and puts her arms around you and stares in your eyes passionately that's telling and giving the go ahead to be kissed, the feelings are mutual. If anyone likes someone and the person you like does that to you are y'all not going to make a move ? I know I am, also you don't have to be dating to kiss a beautiful woman that you like in a pool especially if it's wanted by both people which it clearly was. Last thing, SML is not going to be perfect because it is based on 80% 99% of Englots real life journey and when a script is being made but moments are still happening while filming a lot of changes will occur within the script which can mess with the flow of things because they are picking moments they want to add not necessarily the whole story or truth, but I will say the editing and music is on whoever job it is lol

This is just my opinion. I think the series is just made out of the "demand" of fans shipping EngLot. MGI capitalized on this to generate interest, views (money), and relevance of the Miss Grand pageant. I think pageants are only big in Asian countries (most but not all) and a few other countries around the globe. But most people don't know anything about pageants. Thus they just assigned teams to create this series without proper directors and writers (I think). It's like a series of scenes smashed one after the other to create a full episode. The storyline is getting shallower as this goes on. There's not much story into it to be honest. Everything is quite simple in terms of how the problems arise and were solved. It's not realistically approached. In short, the series is just good because EngLot is there and that's just about it.

Parents never realize how traumatized their children are lol humans are not wired to admit their own mistakes, specially to their children. If a parent believes they gave their children the best they could possibly need, why would their children be traumatized, right? I really really liked how they handled Sherine's arc. Mother and Sherine weren't really talking, she was always abroad, so conversation between them seemed pretty non-existent for them to fix anything by themselves. Also, it ALWAYS takes a third party calling you on your bullsh*t to make you realize how you messed up. That's why therapy works LOL it's amazing how much we believe in unbiased people instead of those closest to us. I liked that the mom owned up to it and came to apologize and support. Good job, mom. I specially liked how winning wasn't the real issue for Sherine. I believe it's the reason why we're getting so much generational traume movies lately. Parents NEVER apologise until forced to do so. Sometimes not even then. And it's good more shows are also portraying that parents aren't as perfect as they believe they are and they can change that. Hopefully more parents watch and learn. At this point, I don't think the editing team knows what they are doing anymore =((( they probably hired the cheapest team available. The less experience the better.

There seems to be an inconsistency with the writing and editing. I enjoy the series because of Englot but tbh it is not very good. But Engfa won without competing before so that isn’t far off

Well this will help you, in the 3rd part they show some future scenes that will happen (like the pool scene) it's not a dream it will happen before they decide to be a couple. Also, the bedroom scene actually happened, they just didn't kiss, finally about Faye confessing to Meena that she likes her and so does Sherene that they are dating or that she likes Faye If you want to see the scene go to episode 6 at the end the trailer shows this scene but in episode 7 it was cut after fans complained that they didn't show many scenes from the lead couple. I've been following Englot since last year but I don't follow them on a daily basis so I don't know much about what's real or what's fictional so in my opinion they either rushed to make the series or it wasn't necessary to do the series about a couple who is not a couple. I think it would have been much better if they had adapted a GL book into a series and made Engfa and Charlotte the main characters, it would have been much more interesting than telling their "love story" Also, I guess they edit the episodes 10 minutes before airtime because the scenes don't make sense to me too.

I partially agree with you. As an Englot fan since July 2022 I can appreciate the individual scenes they are giving us but as a series viewer the plot/scene progression is very confusing and flawed. The editing is terrible which is a shame as the girls are actually talented and they had the biggest potential with this series 😢

The difference BTW an englot Stan watching the series and non Stan is we enjoy it to the point that we can't point out difference of englot and meena sherine. Like it's very hard. I agree that this episode is a bit confusing. But as for the pool scene it's real as well as the almost kiss on the bed. It was just Meena rethinking everything from her dream to the almost kiss. Charlotte and Engfa do said that the pool is them testing their feelings for each other so just imagine that at that night they were free and decided to go for a swim and one thing led to another. 😂😂😂 You gotta add alot of thinking and scenarios on your own to be able to understand. 😂😂 They are really putting those scenes as the fans were really frustrated from the last episode. They probably feel pressured and decided to change/edit alot for this episode since on episode 7 teaser Faye was supposed to confess to Meena but probably edited it out so the story of the whole series started to get messed up.

The whole series is out of context, it has no flow throughout the whole story so far. They only showed cherines bf once or twice and then he's gone, like why? Cherines mom being in one episode and for a short while, makes no sense, so weird. And they cut too much, from something to something else, BASICALLY no straight storyline and where is Diana later on? For a beginner's series, it's alright but if they are thinking of a season two they should really hire someone who has Thai drama experience. It's not worth the membership price.

Thailand doesn't have its own Hollywood - it's a huge industry and funding. Most likely, this series was created to attract attention to a beauty contest.
