In today's episode from Afterlife SMP we're revealing our brand new origin after Scott - The Vampire took us out in the last episode!!! Then we're building up a brand new base to match our new origin!!!
Welcome to Afterlife!!! This is a brand new Minecraft 1.18 Modded SMP with a bunch of awesome Minecraft KZbinrs!!!
The concept is simple! We all get assigned one of a possible 30+ Origins upon arrival. We all get 10 lives.
If we die we automatically get assigned a brand new origin, but if we DIE all 10 times we are OUT of the series!!!

I think the server started with some interesting origins but no villains, per se... And then Scott became a vampire. He killed Angel Sausage, who I think should function as a rival (not enemy) for Scott. They should have competing interests but not PvP.

Base name idea: Withering Heights! Edit: for anyone wondering: based on the 1847 novel Wuthering Heights, the story of which kind of matches the lore Sausage is going for. Turbulent relationships and defying/challenging conventional morals and values. The book is named after the impressive but gloomy mansion where the story takes place.

A good name for the new wither area I think is, "Thanatos' Calling" Thanatos is the Greek god of death, and I think it would tie well within the secret shadows club and the whole eating souls thing. Just in case you don't like the name I think would fit the shadow club thing, I'm going to put it out of sight from my other name of choice for your new origin's base. I think it would be neat to call it, "The Lurking Nightmares." Since it's a mix of power and villain-like ambiance.

well "fallen kingdom" was my very first idea- now come to think of it you could change kingdom to fortress as withers can be located more in nether fortresses meaning if you name it "fallen fortress" it can show that you fell from being holy to something more opposite and what that mob can be related to

Oo! Loving the new origin and the dark, spooky vibes! Also, for the name, I was thinking “The Shinigami Tomb” as The Shinigami are the Japanese gods of death. They have been described as monsters, helpers, and creatures of darkness. I also see The Shinigami as peaceful beings, as they aren’t there to take you before your time, and they can’t be bribed to lengthen your time. They are specifically there to make sure people die at their appointed time. Like in the traditional Shinto funerals, death isn’t something to be feared. It happens at some point, so there is no use of dwelling on this fear. The Shinigami spirits are there to invite you to the afterlife with dignity. What I specifically love about this is that usually, when someone thinks about a god, or in this case, gods, of death, they are described with negative connotations such as evil, scary, or dark, while the Shinigami are much more peaceful, and inviting. They are guides to help you through the afterlife. Now, I know there are animes containing The Shinigami, but drop whatever they are perceived as in that anime and see the Shinigami for who they truly are.

Ive got more lore!: After the angel Sausage had fallen his Spirit became Vengeful. Angered by the very vampire that killed him he decided become one of his own kind. Knowing that an angel or a light being would not be able to take down such a dark force he transferred his soul into a wither skeletons body. Being an angel / human first, he did not stay as just this Wither Skeleton he had transferred his soul into it. Instead his body morphed into a human skeleton form giving in Black robes and brown hair. the only thing left for him to do now that he's more powerful is to take down that very being that killed him, but how could he they should be friends now they're both evil... Not my best work but I tryed

My headcanon about Sausage’s origin is that Sausage became a half-wither because Scott bit him at one point. Since Sausage was an angel, instead of a human, the bite started to wither away at his angel abilities instead of turning him into a vampire like Scott. causing him to become the withering of which was consuming his corpse. This would also explain his half evil, half good character. Vampires tend to this nature as well, while needing to survive off of blood, they also tend to try to resist the urge to feed at first, but then give into their nature. As vampires prefer small portions of life force kept within blood, the withering Sausage needs to consume large amounts of life force to stop the withering from consuming him. This withering also caused his newfound wings to wither to almost nothing.

Sausage your vids are so cinematic And you get so lucky on origin roles, makes me not upset about not getting revenge on Scott, but tbh the vampire origin is SO OP he can leap really far move really fast and mark people and switch places with them and there's no way to get unmarked until he teleports you the only downside is not being able to go out during the day. I think later when you expand your new territory you need to make a castle or something because wither skeletons come from fortresses, it's like you need a more fancy place to live and rule over the wither is also a boss like you're a high ranking demon.

Maybe the normal lanterns can be replaced with soul lanterns as well as the campfire with soul campfire because it is a little darker than the normal ones. Black, blue and purple candles would be amazing too. Dim lighting would definitely add to the eerie ambiance of the place :)

Hey MythicalSausage, I have to say I love the visuals and lore you provide in your videos. It feels unique to the other Minecraft KZbinrs. Plus you sound like you are having a ton of fun. I suggest naming your new base “Withering Heights” (like the book Wurthering Heights) or “Wither Hollow” (like Sleepy Hollow)

Your new origin reminds me of the ferryman of souls Kharon, from Geek Mythology!!! I could see the river beside the new base as a dark evil River Styx!! With a ferry boat, broken and ragged, but still able to carry souls across! And on the other side a build that resembles Hades itself!!
