Geez.. This guy explains things so well. I spend forever scratching my head trying to figure something out. Then I watch one of his videos and it’s clear as day. Amazing teacher.

Holy Crap! seriously! i needed afterload EXPLAINED as a CONCEPT and not as words. Im a medical school student and Dr.Matt or Dr.Mike, you gave the clear concept, you acted/showed me the CONCEPT of afterload, and you said," Let me say that again ( which is a good technique when teaching). im a subscriber! thank you! as i always here from Dr.Najeeb ( youtuber as well ) We need to give students good Concepts so they last in long term memory. so thank you and G-d bless!!

Holy cow pies! Thank you so much for explaining preload and afterload. So nice to have a teacher that understands it thoroughly enough to explain it succinctly. Must admit I had to watch it twice. First time I was focused on your muscles. YIKES! Second time I focused on your words. Can you please wear baggy clothes?

Thank you doctor! one question about the training part you talked about: when lifting heavy ones hart should increase in a koncentric hypotrofy but expanding the heart is no good cuz it leads to heart failure...? so how is lifting heavy with concentric hypotrofy beneficial?

Isn't a bigger heart also an issue because of the pericardium? If it's bigger, it's going to have less room for preload too
