What buyer receives: - Missing mirrors - scuffed up, curbed wheels - body panels NOT mint. Held together by cheap, discounted bread ties and maybe one ziptie from his Walmart stereo he installed in his '86 Honda CRX. - secondhand electrical issues because previous owner lived near someone with a Dodge Ram. - non-existent clutch - engine looser than a whoores cooter.

I used to run monster fairings and auctmarts. Issue with aftermarket is they’re quite flimsy and fitment May sometimes be an issue. But for a track bike it wouldn’t matter as much. Still good value for the money overall.

@@bleach8419 hey man I haven’t used aftermarket fairings since I sold all my track bikes and such and on the street I ride a MT07. People buggginggg. Painted custom aftermarket fairings are decently close to oem now. For wayyy cheaper with the look you want. That being said, I’d take oem if I had the cash to throw away but at that point I’d go carbon and get it painted. Otherwise, if you are tight in a budget? Aftermarket fits really well and looks great. Specially with custom paint.

Thanks for the valuable information that’s why I follow you. I wished I knew about this before I bought my fairing form eBay for my 2003 Honda Cbr 600rr bought the bike two months after my 49th birthday for 3800wasn’t it was in a accident found that out later so far spent over $7000 into it everything new after parts except gear, gear shifter cables rimes or brakes. Payed engine valve adjustment etc. I now the history of the bike and my first. Everyone says they could’ve just bought a new one. But as of now just need a power commander so I’ll be able to have dyno tuned. Also new exhaust by Yoshimura rs -5 I have a picture I wish I could send to you it looks new. Also need a new front rim. It’s rideable a slight bend at lip of rim to tire. I really appreciate you. And value your experience thank you brother. Hit me up I would like to send photos

Depends on what aftermarket brands you bought. But often the part wouldn't fit perfectly. Leaving a gap here and there. Sometimes it vibrates while riding, the fasteners fall off.

I had aftermarket fairings before and while they may look great and different, the fitment is never perfect. I had to do a lot of drilling cuz the holes were either too small or they just didn’t line up perfectly. They also did not come with any foams or heat shield that oem had, so must keep that in mind. I’m not a believer in tugging away oem fairings to save it from wear and tear because that means I don’t get to enjoy them and that kinda defeats the purpose of buying a good look bike. I bought aftermarket only because I had to, crashed on the track and the oem fairings were damaged. If you want to switch up the looks, aftermarket is a great option.

If you are dumb enough to go this route, make sure to do heavy research. Majority of the knock offs don’t even fit without heating and bending or drilling. Not to mention the parts don’t line up right, or are molded bigger. Buy race fairings and cut them for lights. Better option

I get it, but to be fair, the resale value might go up a couple hundred over the cost of the new fairings, but then you lose several hours at both times replacing fairings. It's easier just to replace OEM with aftermarket at the time of sell. 99.9% of people can't tell the difference between the two if you get OEM livery

For a more cheeky strategy, buy a used good condition frame, save it when you need to resell the bike. I sold my YZ back then with that strategy and got away with 700 bucks for the bike alone, the used frame from the original bike is another 300. The used frame, I got from a scrapyard for 12 cans of beer and 2 KFC bucket

While I can really understand that in the practical and economical view, it kinda defeats the purpose of buying a brand new bike, doesn't it? It kinda sucks that you bought this great thing but you can't even use it because it might/will get damaged so you replace it with something (arguably) cheaper. Personally, I'd get the aftermarket parts to replace the original when it can't be used anymore because of damage or other reasons.
