I feel the same. I see a lot of Somi fans saying that Somi is too good to be in a girl group and she will outshine the other members and that's if she went solo, she would dominate the industry. I can appreciate their confidence in her, but they're putting way too much pressure on the poor girl. She's still a minor! I think Somi could really benefit from the support and companionship that comes with being in a girl group. I know soloists like IU sometimes talk about how lonely they get at award shows and such. And now that Somi has left JYP, I'm concerned for her future. Ultimately, we don't really know what she wants, but I hope she finds it.

I think Somi is taking this the hardest. While the other girls are close to debuting as solos or in groups she is literally back to being a trainee. Not only was she IOI's baby she was also one of their best friends m. Because she's so young it must suck even worse.

I think the contract Somi signed for was for her to be allowed to work and/or appear on shows. That's why she MCs music shows and is part of Unnies Slam Dunk season 2. Aside from that there was nothing more we know of her contract. From there, we can only assume that she is still under the training program she signed for and is not allowed to debut until another girl group is created by JYP. I don't expect JYP to allow her into Twice because that would be too risky of a business move. Her situation is unique but not new. She's pretty much in the very same situation Kim Dani is in from MBK.

And the companies that had agreed to be apart of P101, agreed for the final members contracts to be 1 year except for an extension (1 month or 2) and they can't really can't that. I think they thought this show as the going to be as popular as it is now so,,, let's just hope for the best for all the members and hope they reunite again in the future!

one reason why the contract is only for a year or slightly a month or two more is because it's very difficult for companies to work together bc they all have different agendas. it is kinda cruel to do this to fans to kinda break their hearts. it's part business part experimenting. they were testing to see how this kind of thing would work out and since the popularity was so large they did a season 2 (but lol we know where that's going) and current members alrdy knew they would disband, it's just sad it ha to be this way.

they actually do get to meet but since Yoojung and Doyeon are preparing for their debut, they don't get to see each other. Chunga and Somi just met up recently, Sohye and Somi meet up from time to time, Yeonjung and Somi got to meet up as well, Chaeyeon and Somi don't get to meet up only in events, Pinky and Nayoung actually stayed by Somi's side when she was leaving The Show, they even gotten her flowers, Mina and Sejeong actually gotten to see Somi as well but also when it came to her birthday, Mina gave Somi a birthday cake and left gifts and notes in her The Show dressing room and Sejeong had a birthday wish for her as well in one event. They don't get to meet up fully but they do still keep in contact with one another. Technically, she already debuted as an variety show artist but as a singer for JYP it's still undetermined because she might be a soloist or she might be in the upcoming girl group. JYP doesn't even know yet since they don't even know the plans for her yet.

I’m really sad about finding out about I.O.I too late. Also I feel especially bad for Somi, first SIXTEEN where her close friends got to debut but not her, then Produce 101 where she got to be in a group for a year and the Unnies Slam Dunk season 2 where the got to be a group for a few months. She’s also pretty known to get easily attached to people so it makes it even harder. She’s doing well though, I hope she gets to full6 debut soon!❤️

i wasn’t a kpop fan when i.o.i wasn’t disbanded yet, but they look like such a fun group. yesterday sudden,y i started watching a lot of i.o.i videos. and seeing this makes me want to cry:( i know i’m bad at explaining. but i wasn’t there when they were there, but i wish i was p, just to experience everything and be there for them as a fan. but i wasn’t. and just seeing this and seeing them cry over their disbandment makes me so sad. it looked like they had so much fun in i.o.i and i really hope that they are happy. i know that doyeon and yoojun (i’m sorry i don’t really know their names yet) are in wekimeki, that somi was in with the unnies and that one of them is in gugudan. but for the rest of them, i don’t know yet :/

I started liking K-Pop months before I.O.I debuted and I never paid attention to them until their disbandment, after the Time Slip concert I watched the entire season of Produce 101 and I was really sad I couldn't stan them when they were still active. Today I'm a crazy HIgh with an imense amount of love for Eunwoo and Nayoung and watching all of Pristin's reality shows I questioned myself about how Nayoung and Pinky (now Kyulkyung) were feeling when they had to switch from I.O.I to Pledis Girlz in the Bye & Hi concert who was held just one month after Time Slip, they debuted really fast and since then I watched them grow and glow, in the start I was a bit worried about how NaPink would be with Pristin but I realized that they were training with the other members way before PD101 started... I know people who stan the groups post-I.O.I but doesn't like I.O.I because they feel it's like a shadow on the other groups carreer but I don't feel the same, I feel the exact opposite. In the end I.O.I is not just 11 people but the entirety of the groups post-I.O.I, they came from the same origin and have the same roots, in the end they all are perfect.

the other girls is doing great after the disbandment . some are currently on girl groups and sohye is now focusing on acting and variety shows meanwhile somi .. she's back being a trainee . It’s a shame I.O.I was just a project group. As a SONE they really did remind me of SNSD in their rookie days. Not to mention they had amazing vocalists, amazing dancers, amazing visuals and their rappers actually exceeded my expectations. They all just seemed like genuine and hardworking girls. I hope they’re able to succeed in their official groups.

this is a 3 minute video but my tears burst out when someone says "there will be no I.O.I tomorrow" :'( this is one of the 3 kpop groups i've been following since predebut and it really hurts because they had a lot of good memories and a great music. sadly they have to separate ways because they are not a permanent group :( (the 2 other Kpop groups are Gugudan and Blackpink if you are curious)
