This lady is God-chosen. A woman of God’s wisdom, intelligence, knowledge and understanding. After making wrong choices in life, i actually fear so much for my sons‘ future. I have them daily in prayers and wish that as they grow in the Lord may he reward them with God loving wives when the time comes. I have also prayed that Lord Jesus should come immediately since this generation can’t raise children yawa!!

I do not agree that polygamy is sin; it depends on where one lives. It is a legal traditional practice on the East. Remember God told David when he killed a man and took his wife, that if he wanted other wifes, He God would have given it to him. Polygamous relations were also found among 2 holders of the Abrahamic covernant. The negative experiences within the union demonstrate that a momogamous relation seems better - God having given man one wife from the beginning. Polygamy is illegal on the west. I live on the West. Thus, those on the West cannot, within their context, make successful decisions for those on the East. The people on the East must deal with their own issues, and solve their problems within their own context. The East will have to experence transformation in thought and belief about procreation and population, and women, if they will deal successfully with polygamy. Respectfully.

The languages need expansion of terms. Marriage and sex are between a man and woman as God created in Eden. Erros relations between same sexes are not sex nor marriage. God describes the behaviors as abominable; thus, there need to be new terms in the languages that seperate the normal from the abnormal, and would not confuse perceptions of sex and marriage from its original meaning. Girlfriend and boyfriend also need similar treatment. Rich emotional relations are also affected.

Some low self esteem & jealous mothers prefer marrying their own sons which we all know it’s impossible. Some wives have been placed as second wives after their husbands mothers. Why would God say to David, " I gave you your masters wives, and if these have not been enough, I would have given you such and such" . Why then did you take the wife of Urial. Did God by this consenting to polygamy? David was punished for the sin of adultery with Basheba and not because he had many wives. I don't subscribe to polygamy, but how do you deal with the comments above by Nathan.

@Kofi - happy sabbath. One saying of the text should not be used to destroy another. Through David, God was not seeking to review the principles of marriage & family as set out in Gen 1-2 as being monogamous & holy. That God accepted responsibility for the situation with David shows His magnanimity, not license.

This is the church that actually claims to be a true church in the world. They are the people that are so proud of their keeping the sabbath. They believe if you keep it, you are through with righteousness. Read John 14:23-25. Do these people really read the scriptures right? 1Corint.14:33-39, 1Tim.2:8-15., 2Tim.4:3,4. Someone tell me why we should think or uphold the SDA as a true church.

@Joseph - thanks for your comment. The True Church has several characteristics as revealed in Revelation 12. It has a historic past and a prophetic future. Some of its attributes are in Rev. 12:17. It keeps the commandments of God (all 10! as in Exodus 20) and does not assay to change any article in the Decalogue ; it also has the abiding gift of prophecy, the belief that God continues to speak to this day through the prophets, and that that gift was especially exercised in the mid 1800s through the Great Second Advent Movement...
