Joe made a previous "What NOT to do while locked up" (I think that was the title). That's one of the things, since you wouldn't know if he was a gang member. Then you'd have (not just him) but his fellow members to deal with! This is where Hollywood and reality differ BIG TIME!

I'm also a tattoo artist, and recently found myself doing 45 days in one of the worst county jails in Missouri. I was also doubly blessed by that skill because it won me the respect I needed to have to be able to not worry about any physical problems, simply because being covered in them made them think I had done time before. I played along on that, and used my drawing skills to trade for commissary, which DEFINITELY kept me fed. Crazy enough, my inventive cooking skills also quickly aided in feeding me, as well, because EVERYONE wanted ME to do THEIR meals, and paid/fed me on top of providing MUCH-NEEDED distraction. I gave in and had a pen-pal, and they aren't lying: it really DOES help pass the time. I quickly learned to play Spades, because that was the popular game, and nearly-ONLY distraction. Not a single day went by without playing cards for at least an hour. Amazing to hear someone else out there has had such a similar experience as me. It's hard to not have anyone understand where you were, or are.

My bunkie in jail was an artist, and I'm a great writer (perks of being college educated and in jail lol). Our hustle was he'd do portraits, decorative envelopes, pictures, and I'd write letters and poems for people. I also am somewhat proficient in Spanish so I was able to make friends with a couple Hispanic guys who taught me some good jailhouse recipes. The gift of gab and a bit of education can go a long way when proving that you're an asset. Also made me a good spades partner 😂between gambling and my "trade", I ate good and had no problems. I feel that's crucial: find your spot, make some allies, have value to your community, and try not to step on anyone's toes.

Shout out from Northern Europe, been following APS on different accounts since almost the start and this was one of the best true, informative, sincere and entertaining episodes so far 10/10 Exactly the clinical definition of psychopath and sociopath here, is more of being born evil or respectively being evil as a product of your environment, but to society the characteristic are basically all the same all together any ways :)

You are extremely entertaining I mean you know how to hold the viewer's attention some KZbinrs don't and they think a way of being funny or exciting is to just raise their voice and yell enter the camera while repeating whatever they are saying in an effort to be funny. It like trying to force being entertaining, and since it's a forced since of confidence ( usually raising there voice) they will sometimes repeat a nervous act like wiping sleep from their repeatedly (it's the middle of the day) touch there head and hair etc. Plus their ideas won't come out succinctly a lot of pauses, ahhhh, you knows, but again the worst is when they think they have something entertaining the repeat it just louder, but your personality for entertainment is great everything comes off natural

Hope your doing good man. From someone that has lived that life and know what it can be like the best advice I can give you is hang out with the kind of people that will help you be a better person and stay away from those that will bring you down. That was proably the hardest part for me cutting off and walking away from all those people I thought were my friends and were going to be there for me. I promise you almost every single one of those people will drop you as soon as you have nothing else to offer them. Find a school a job or even if its possible join an armed force and become someone you have allways wanted to be. There is nothing stopping you.

Great video man! This is one of my favorite ones. But I do have a couple of questions here. So basically what you're saying is don't get Commissary for a while in order not to be potentially extorted. So at what point can you get commissary if you do have money on your books? Another thing what if known gang member wants to go toe-to-toe with you and you know not only will you lose badly but his crew might get involved maybe even stick you with a blankie?
@legacyShredder15 жыл бұрын
I went to jail just one time in 2011. No more than 15 minutes in the pod I had to fight. When I walked in a guy I knew from the past named Kevin spotted me, and he told everyone I was a cop. In reality he still owed me around three hundred dollars from a loan he skipped out on four years prior, and in his mind I guess he thought that would cause problems for him while I was in there. (I was a "cop" with three feet of hair mind you. I must have been a good undercover narc.) He didn't try to fight me himself, instead he just got this small punk kid worked up over the cop idea so he didn't have to fight me himself. I felt bad afterwards, because the small thug kid thought he was doing the right thing as far as the jail code goes, and for the fact that he was lied to just to take care of another guy's dirty work. Once I realized it was Kevin in the pod who started the whole thing I had to straighten things out with him too. Everything ended in my favor. I got released soon thereafter, and I never had to go back. People who spend their life in and out of jail and prison have an extremely warped idea of how to conduct themselves and what respect really is.

Talking about being a prison sociopath, do you find yourself trying to use other people for personal gain now that your free? Faking your emotions towards them?
