I needed to hear this video. I had to work hard on coming to terms with everything we lost in the fire in 2019. Not having anything but what we were wearing and no income to afford rent. GOD knew what we needed, not what I wanted. He helped us through two and a half months, living with family, looking at homes 5hat we couldn't afford or were to far away. We got a home, pets allowed, plenty of room. Paid for fully. We only have monthly income and hubby keeps track of bills. I farm sit for any extra money we need. We don't have cable T.V. We watch DVDs. We watch videos like yours for ideas on things we can do to help cut costs. Thank you Tessie. 😊 💝💖

When my husband died I had nothing….. he made 140,000 a year even retired. He cancelled our health insurance with out my knowledge, spent tons of our savings on useless to me items and I suddenly found myself making under $10,000 per year with a mortgage plus living expenses. I had to sell everything just to survive on poverty level. BUT I did survive and am still surviving on poverty level. I’ve learned to adjust my outlook. Prayers for you and Kenny

I have seen how people around me are shutting themselves off, becoming introverted & alienated, consumed with fears of & the reality of the Cost of Living Crisis. That includes not engaging with KZbin channels, entertainment venues, shopping, businesses.People are also so busy with saving & making more income they have less time on their hands to watch vlogs etc. Also I know neighbours who are switching off TVs, radios, online content entertainment they might had on in the background or watched to conserved Electricity 😬.Some people are very scared & can or only will allow themselves the bare minimum right now. I found your channel at the right time. They say timing is everything, right? Well, I'm 54 totally disabled and my x husband who put me on this disability will stop paying child support this June so in all total loss will be about a loss of 1,500. In income at the end of July and I do not know what I'm going to do so I'm praying for an answer for my situation. I know the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way. 🙏♥️🇺🇲 Thank you for your channel for the encouragement. ♥️❣️

Well it is true when we help others and not expecting things to come back to us somehow miracles happen. I know I do not like to let people know when I do certain things so God will give me the glory. I know 2022 was not the best in health and I almost died 5x and 1x for the hubs I spent 2 months in hospital he did for 3 weeks and I was off work for 7 months and he was off for a total of 2. Thankfully I had LTD as what money we did have in our savings went away really quick before LTD kicked in. Things are getting back to normal now. Friday I have been trach free for 3 months!!! Life is slowly getting back to normal and we are about 98-99% healed all the way from our issues. God is good! I am thankful you are able to help others when you are needing help yourself as we all need to be in that spirit. Have a great one Tessie!

Tessie, I like you very much, it reminds me of my childhood, which was very poor. I am old woman & have had many ups & downs in my life. I have had many losses & heartaches in my life. A person doesn't know heartache until they have buried their children, it puts everything else in perspective. I think you should be more positive in your videos. Nobody likes to hear doom & gloom. We all know that gas & grocery prices are high, but I really don't know of anyone who is actually starving in this country. Let's have faith in God & move forward, not backward. In the overall scheme of things, losing income, high gas prices, high grocery stores, & other things, are just temporary. They really don't amount to much. Be more positive, maybe you will regain some viewers.

Love your to Tessie, did you add the lace? So pretty on you! I am in the process at 67 wondering I am going to afford to live if one of 3 of us survives if one is gone. I stopped! I PRAYED!!!! God told me to depend on His word. DAILY!!! Yes, we are on a very tight budget. I sometimes wonder how " some people" become rich. I then began to realize it is a NEGATIVE in my soul. I now listen to music, I sing, I compliment people. I plan my joy. Their life is theirs. Take Lisa Marie Presley. Rich, famous family, she lost EVERYTHING upon her death! Now her 3 children have Graceland. Where did you get the stove you used to cook outside? Love & Blessings from Fla.

I see so many people doing side hussels like buying stuff cheap and selling on Facebook or eBay. I saw where credit cards are at 34 or 39% delinquency. There is something called post traumatic financial distress disorder. Is that a real thing? Have you ever seen the way some who lived through the depression ate a chicken bone clean? Grandma cut buttons off of clothes that were no longer affordable. Grandpa had his dad's entire shoemaker gear in the garage on one side.... grandma had all of her mothers furniture in the basement on one side... orderly and tidy. That is where the you will sit down and finish your entire plate came from. You didn't waste food. Now we know after times of such abundance that it is unhealthy to have a child not listen to their body. They were listening to a voice of fear from growing up in the depression. It carried through their entire lives. When I didn't have a vacuum my grandpa gave me one because he had 3.... and a radio. LOL my family has always had a good stockpile going back to the depression. I guess that means some stuff lingered.... but it bailed me out so many times!!!

Your message is so true. When we went through some drastic changes in our lives very similar to what you went through in 2007, I found by turning to those in need outside of myself, I was able to help others and cope better with my own life struggles. Even to this day is we suffer some misfortune or other my favorite motto to go to is, it may be rough right now, but there are so many people who are worse off than we are, or who need help more that we do. It helps me to get through every time. Thanks for sharing!

My dad would say, "If you would stand in a circle around others and throw all of your troubles in the middle of the circle, you would gladly take your troubles back." We are all on a different path, but we need to remember to stop and lift each other up. You have enriched so many viewers by sharing your frugal talents. I so enjoy your honesty, and the kind community you have assembled through your channels.

I'm elderly and since and have been living on $617.59 per month for years now in Boise one of the most expensive cities in North America. If I want something as simple as jelly, I'd better hope that a food bank is offering berries because the $3.50 is too much to spend. I am now getting scared most recently and am praying for a change for the better. But God has been with me throughout. Jesus said blessed are the poor for they will see God, and that's absolutely true. If I was relying on my own devices, I would think blessings were because of me. Being poor has let me see it's all Him and he is faithful to provide and kind to bring me things I've wished for. I've been lucky to be on this walk and lucky He has moved ME out of the way so I could see HIM

@@barbarab8469 Also you can make jelly out of juices. The food banks may have those more than berries at this time of year or there are sometimes sales at the grocery stores. I made jelly out of a mango cranberry juice and it was delicious. Blessings💕✝️🙏

I can't imagine how you are able to live on $617.59 per month, except for - as you said - Jesus is faithful to provide for you. Praise God that you do turn to Him when you become afraid. Diane

To show you just how quickly your life can change ~ I just watched Jason from Cog Hill Farm . He is in Alabama near where that horrible tornado went thru . His family & farm were not hit , but his hometown of Selma was destroyed . The worse part his grandfather who is over 100 years old lives near Selma . His house & property were torn up really bad . His Grandfather & step Grandmother ( both in wheelchairs ) hid the bathroom The bathroom was almost destroyed & his Grandfather was hit in the head when a tree smashed through the roof . He is okay now ~ PRAISE THE LORD ! They only have social security to live on . They lost most everything ~ but they are alive . It is hard to fathom , being over 100 & having to start over !!!

Yes! When I was still working as a nurse in 2010 a tornado tore through here (not far from the hospital actually). The next evening 3-11 pm, I took care of a man in his 80s who had been picked up and thrown from his farm house by this tornado, along with his wife. She was on another unit, but they brought her over to see him. They both survived with non-life-threatening injuries, but their house was 100% demolished. Like you, I thought about how hard it would be to start over at that time of your life.

Ellen, I live in the next town or two over from him and it came and tore through a community right above me where several of my cousins lost power but by the Grace of God the tornados did not tear up their houses and trailers. We had more tornados in the past 2 or 3 months than I can ever remember in one season. Matter of fact when the tornados started(this is not tornado season either) a few weeks back I was watching Tessie when the sirens went off so I went to my hall bathroom and commented to Tessie I may be her first subscriber to be watching her during a tornado coming at us.😃 God has been so good to take care of us and I know he will take care of us if we loose everything.... But I always pray so hard not to let that happen. I do feel so broken hearted when I hear how much others suffered and especially if they lost a loved one or a pet. But still I have to praise him for keeping myself and my family safe. I will pray for him and his family and thank you for telling all of us about him.😇💙

For example you have managed to completely landscape your property, buy a garage, and pave your driveway. You've been blessed. I'm amazed that you were able to accomplish that with the income that you were presenting to us. I wish I could save up money like you. I'm not able to gleen food like you are. When people realize that you can't outgive God, and that when you walk out on blind faith to serve him, He triple fold will give it back. And if he takes care of sparrows and flowers, he will take of you. Every time I had to take time off with children, our income went to less than 50%. It didn't take long to realize that the world was wasteful, and their unwanted stuff was useful to me. And I learned to coupon and bargain shop like a champ. I did the same with food: save extra, buy in bulk, buy on sale with coupons, etc. When money goes away, FOOD is the least of my worries. But no worry about food lets you focus money on shelter and electricity. And God will send the people and things to you to give you exactly what you need when you pray without saying it out loud. Trust God. Believe in a better day ahead. This has never failed me in 50+ yrs. I was not the green thumb of the family, but I had the mad savings skills. I believe most of us have talents to make money easily or save it well.

We have just found out that my husband has some pretty severe back issues and may not be able to work any more. This means that mine may be the only income unless he get disability. So I have just sat down over the last couple days and looked at all the bills and what we have to pay and what we can eliminate. I’m worried but we will be ok, I have to trust that we will.
