The thing I liked about the non-binary part was that it showed that we existed long before we had language for it. And Ben being able to give them that language in the 50swas a nice gift to them

I think things are going to get messy, but just in time Ian sorts out the code and when they try to execute it to bring Ben back, it leaps Ben back to that moment right before they lost him for 3 years, and because of the new code, they can track him immediately. It undos the lost 3 years, Tom dating Addison, and Ian won't have to go get that chip in the first place. Everyone else won't remember what happened, but Ben will. This will then leave Ben in a super uncomfortable place knowing about his love for Hannah and hoping to find her again, while Addison has no idea. This would seemingly leave a ton of creative options open for season 3.
