I worked at my company’s booth for Afro Tech 2 years ago. I agree with your recommendation that people have to be intentional in terms of what they want to get out of it. Do research on companies that you are interested in and connect with their employees prior to the conference to establish a relationship is a reccomendation. But to me it seemed like the people working the employer booths were more so interested in the after parties and not as much as moving the black tech community forward. And the attendees are paying a lot of money for this event
