AFUL is turning out to have one of the best IEM lineup on their respective price range. The MagicOne, explorer, the p series and Cantor, all are excellent ❤. So excited for its release.

I think AFUL released it as a P5 mkii, a successor to the P5, but not quite P7.

Did you use the stock eartips, or did you try swapping them out? I experienced some harsh, piercing treble and was wondering if different eartips might help reduce that. Thanks!

I personally get good fit with the stock tips bro, those with blue colored internal tube. Ah maybe you should try the Final Audio Type E tips.

I would say P8 has more details, but P5+2 has faster mid-bass and slightly better tone.

Thinking of getting my first TOTLish set. Reckon Aful Cantor could be it? There is appreciable gulf between Cantor and the new P5+2, right?

Yes bro, quite a huge difference between these two. Cantor is all about clarity, resolution, and details.

I was interested in getting the cantor, but the whole earpiece kind of pushed me away from it, this seems like a good second choice and it'll probably be comparable price point to the 5. Though i recently got a Campfire Audio Fathom for half price which is an amazing vocal iem, so i don't know if it'll fit in my collection.

I have the cantor, that long nozzle is not a problem at all. In fact that is among my top favorites under 1000$ 😁

Hello bro I bought awful performer 5 few months back and liked it (coming from lets sure s12 pro) . Do you think its worth upgrading to performer 7 or performer 5+2 ?

I notice good improvements over the og p5, so you can try to go for p7.
