The P8 Bass is Phenominal , the Sub Bass is like a very high Quality home Subwoofer , Mid range is so Texture and full body -the best in it's price point for sure , Thanks for the accurate review AT !

Yes, but the Perfromer 8 has neutral bass. If you're looking for more kick drum impact and overall bass, the Performer 5 has more.

Yea Ive generally heard the bass is the only thing holding the 8 back. Not even the quantity, just the quality of it is kinda mid.

Great video! I am currently upgrading my gear to what I call my ‘end game’ setup: * Sundara -> Ananda Nano (already done) * AFUL Performer5 -> Dunu Davinci. Could you recommend something in a similar price range? What I love about AFUL is that they are super comfy. Is the Dunu also comfortable? For instance, does it have a pressure relief valve? * Hiby R3 Pro Sabre -> R4 * Topping DX3 Pro -> I hope it’s my end game. I only miss the balanced output. Do you recommend anything better, but still with a resonable price? Just a few questions if I may: * If I am happy with the loudness, would switching to balanced cables for the Dunu or Ananda improve sound quality when using the R4? * I am thinking of buying the Wiim Ultra, but I wonder if I can achieve similar or, hopefully, better quality by connecting the R4 to my amplifier. Thanks!

I recommend the Juzear Butterfly 61T over the DaVinci due to its more balanced bass, making it suitable for a wider range of music genres. Both IEMs are comfortable and feature a vent for the dynamic driver, but not one facing the ear. I didn't experience any pressure issues with either of them. As for your DAC/Amp, I suggest sticking with the TOPPING DX3 Pro+ unless you need more power, a balanced output, or encounter ground loop issues. The SMSL DL200 and FiiO K7 are also excellent alternatives. Personally, I find the DX3 Pro+ to be adequate. Using the balanced output of the Hiby R4 can offer some benefits, such as more separation, better imaging, more dynamics, and an improved open soundstage, though these improvements are minor. There might be slight sound differences between the Wiim Ultra and the R4, with one potentially being better or simply different. However, differences between DAC chips are usually not drastic, and the biggest difference for you will likely be the convenience.

Hows the P8 compared to the Pilgrim, if you have any thoughts?

The Pilgrim has more impactful sub-bass and mid-bass and delivers better resolution overall. However, I find the P8 fits better and is still very detailed. I also prefer its treble, which is smooth and detailed.

@@Suoh2 I listened to Yorushika now, I would say the Performer 8 is better here because its upper mid-range and treble is way smoother while being more detailed. Another thing is that the Performer 8 maintains its clarity and detail during busy parts of the track so that female vocals pop out more.

I just can't go down the "used" path. Feels like buying somebody's used underwear. Earwax is gross. You know somebody's else gross fluids are still in there no matter how good you clean them.
