Thanks for this build video - it's been very helpful as I work on my AFV Club SdKfz 263 PzFuWg 8-Rad. I have very mixed feelings about this kit. Suspension detail was superb, but some of the engineering details seem overly complex. Add some outright mistakes on the kit instructions and the body alignment issues you mention, making this a challenging project. This is also my first AFV Club kit, as I always wanted to make the radio command version of this vehicle and they offered it. I'm looking forward to working on the Tamiya SdKfz 232 kit as a comparison build.

You are welcome! I agree the suspension and frame are way over engineered and you won't see most of it in the end. This was my second AFV Club kit and they do turn out extremely well in the end I think I will stick with Dragon's 8rad kits, they are simpler but still have incredible detail where you can see it.

Another kit from AFV its a great and unusual vehicle yet the manufacturer is very short in detail, fit and finish. this kit requires a higher degree of skill to make parts fit well. lots of contact points on the parts tree, flimsy plastic parts, some parts are unrealistically small which are completely lost in the final build, most people wont see them. waiting for tamiya to create such a model. Cross your fingers. no one beats Tamiyas high degree of detail, fit and finish.

You are correct, so many small parts especially on the frame that will never be seen but can also screw with the overall fit in the end

Wow that's coming together nicely! I like how the CV joints are rubber, like you said tho sadly most if it won't be seen. Wierd the side panel they tell you to use is so funky but the other is pristine, maybe the instructions are in error? Looking forward to the next update, cheers Trey

Thank you so much! AFV Club did some odd things with this but I'm determined to build a nice kit from it. I've built a 8rad from Dragon a few years ago and I like their approach over this kit so in the future I will stick with Dragon. It is sad most of that detail won't be seen in the end. Stay well my friend!

Its a shame about the Middle gap. I'm thinking a well placed tarpaulin to cover the open fighting compartment or cammo netting would solve your problem. It looks a well detailed kit but not a Tamiya build. Very nice build Sir thank you for sharing.

Thank you! Hopefully when I get to adding the top and bottom sections together the gap will be less. The tarp idea would also work really well.
