I want to animate a "self drawing" (path trim effect) Circle, but when the Circle "builds up" it first fills the circle with a black, and THEN drawing the thin circle path around it. So it "fills" the circle during the effect, but the only thing i want, is the thin circle line to build up. (sorry for my bad english, I hope I could explained it good enough)

4:53 I don't get the "create shapes from vector layer" option when I do this... did it change in 2021?

Fact: i've discovered that in order to apply a trim paths effect, the stroke alignment of the layer should be centered and not internally

I have an illustrator graphic made up of all strokes. When imported into AE and converted to shape layers, all the strokes turn into filled shapes matching the thickness of the AI graphic's strokes. I want them to stay as strokes so I can utilize Trim paths. What am I missing here?
@therisingsun075 жыл бұрын
I figured out one thing, If you use the width or variable width profile for a stroked path, In AI it remains as the stroked path, but when you import it to afx it changes to fill. If you use a stroked path without using anything else like width tool or something, then it remains as stroke in afx when you import. I'm figuring out the reason behind this. I want the stroke to remain the same in afx even when the width tool is used in AI.

Sehr cooles Tutorial!

+Wille Synning Thanks buddy, there are already a lot of tutorials about that online and I hate just copying / redoing something that has already been done (Its like walking the same paths as others, you will always come to the same destination that way). I always like to go my own way. I hope that comparison makes sense in that context, hah!). But I'll see if I can somehow manage to show the basics, but differently (already got an idea).
