Amazing comment, you summed it up, you can always hear that serene British Countryside vibe he has going on, but always mixed with something a bit dark or evil or futuristic or alien or industrial, mixes old and contemporary, a great aesthetic which really represents his upbringing/surroundings. It is incredible how you can hear it so clearly in the music. It is like he has turned an image of an old derelict tin mine in the countryside into music. This mixture of the old/familiar (major key flute melodies) and the new/alien (weird industrial electronic beats) is so forward-thinking and will definitely be what he is remembered for in the centuries to come.

He never goes for the obvious, each track is different from another and each track is so complex that within itself it has so many entangled elements. Thats why it wakes your imagination everytime you listen. Youre just trying to figure out what he was going for. Unlike other music where you can predict a song from the first 10 seconds

Hard, but if I had to choose, my top 5 would be: 5. Flim: Beautiful, relaxing melody and complex drum pattern (Same can be said for nearly any Aphex track) 4. Blue Calx: Hauntingly beautiful, takes me to a completely different place 3. Alberto Balsalm: True vision, a warming, safe-feeling melody and surprisingly catchy. 2. Lichen: Lush, gorgeous melody and a very nostalgic feeling 1. Rhubarb: A true masterpiece, the best piece of music I've yet to hear. Simple, beautiful melancholic melody.

You can’t label 🏷 Anything PHEX does. He’s on his own level and literally producing sounds that are changing the earths fundamental resonance. We’re going higher my brothers and sisters... we’re going higher. I love how he does not care about what others think and has explored interstellar so we can enjoy why comes from his absolutely dashing soul. When you make music today... make it for yourself in anyway possible... I think that’s a beautiful little key that opens large doors. Make music like a kid would.
