While he is mostly shown losing to Carlsen over and over, this game is a reminder of how strong Nakumura actually is. Agadmator isn't a bad player by any means (other than perhaps inflexible elitism), but Nakamura is, IIRC, over 750 points higher, and this game shows just how powerful a GM can be versus your average strong player.

Something I've come to realize. That saying about "Hindsight is 20 20" become very clear watching Agadmator play these top tier players. When he analyzes their games he finds very complicated lines and gives the impression that he could hang with the best of them... however when your tossed into the deep end with the sharks you don't have such luxuries. Even if it was a longer classical format I suspect the results would be the same. It's easy to forget just how good these players are until you see games like these. Well done. That was a nice game you had going there for a while. It was also informative about the strength of the centre for newer players. Your pieces got hemmed in and were left vulnerable to pins. Hikaru is an absolute chess beast.

Which is ironical because for quite some time it was Agad who did the pinning. I thought he just should have traded at least one of bishops. I mean trading down and therefore simplifying while messing with the pawn structure a little bit is, at least, a good way to prolong the game. If you simplify enough you might survive till the endgame. Of course, Hikaru is a monster in the endgame as well but who knows, you have the white pieces, hopefully equal material and a slightly messed pawn structure for Hikaru, maaaaybe you might achieve a draw or at least live long enough to be proud of it. Then again it's blitz, you only have 5 minutes and no increment and Hikaru would most likely manage to splice his doubled pawn somehow into the attack, creating an even more massive center ...

I studied the Dutch wat Antonio goes for is how they used to play the Dutch Capablanca, ... etc but Dutch players have learned to advance their pawns stalling insane development for the opponent. Also in the stauton gambit modern Dutch players they push the g-pawn to close the g-file Dutch players won’t get crushed due to their weak king.
