I mean he doesn’t really need to edit much other than his face cam and the board into the the background he has along with some photos and names of the players, I’m sure he works hard for the videos but tbh that’s not a lot of work to do here other than analysis, which although very difficult and important, isn’t apart of the editing process so he can just pump out these videos in like 10 minutes which is very much appreciated on our part.

Great video Antonio. Dubov always plays very interesting chess, so it's always enjoyable to watch his crazy adventures in sacrifice-land. Regarding the ending, just a suggestion: considering that many times games don't reach the stalemate position I would have expected a brief summary of the position for beginners. So, I'll do it myself xD. In K+P vs K endgames, the critical squares are the three squares in front of the pawn, but one square more ahead. For example, if the pawn is located in e2, the critical squares are d4, e4, f4. If the King with the pawn reaches that position, he wins. If the pawnless King reaches this position, he draws. The drawing technique is just blocking the advancement of the enemy king, forcing the enemy king behind his pawn. Then, you move in those squares, until the pawn is pushed, and then, you just go backwards, to any of the critical squares (IMPORTANT EXCEPTION AHEAD), and keep repeating until the pawn reaches the 6th row. Then, once pushed backwards once again, you MUST RETREAT TO THE CRITICAL SQUARE IN FRONT OF THE PAWN. For example, if the pawn is located in e6, you MUST retreat to e8. If you retreat to d8 or f8, you will lose the game. But, if you retreat to the critical square in front of the pawn, the rest will be just a very simple draw.

e3 then Queen moves and either Nde4 or Ndxc4 forks the Queen and Bishop (discovered attack on the bishop with the white Queen)

At 7:55, what about moving c8 to c1, after king moves you check him again with c1 to c2. After that you trade rooks and move the pawn from a3 to a2. Is that a good position for black?

@6:33.. why can't carlsen play bishop to e6 in that variation ? Both rooks are on light squares...isn't it a better one ?

at 9:44 could the white rook not move E2? The king would defend to offer a trade and if the black rook moves then white can just promote the pawn to a queen.

Yes but if the rook are traded, the black king is fast enough to stop the white pawn and Magnus would have a winning 2-vs-1 pawn endgame

Rook takes rook, king takes rook, and black king goes g8 to stop white pawn.

After rook captures on 6:33, why couldn't black just move his bishop to e6 and skewer the rooks?
@melvinnavarro9577
@melvinnavarro9577 3 жыл бұрын
Just want to clarify sir. After the black castles, instead of "Rook a to b1", isn't it better to just move Knight to e4? A discovered attack on the queen and the Knight on b6 will lose support

at 9:44... if Dubov plays rook e2 how could magnus defend?. If rooks are trated there is no way for the black king to reach the e-pawn before queening, right?
