I have played Theodorou twice, when he was 9 and when he was a FM. I keep those game sheets like gems. So proud of you Nikola!

I am really liking the way you have been presenting the videos for quite some time now, where you put both players on the thumbnails and no easy guesses could be drawn which creates more suspense. And thank you for this extra dose on rest day of WCC.

Even though we are currently focused on the world championship and similar events 🏆, the unforgettable game you played a few days ago, featuring that formidable rook and bishop combination, continues to linger in my mind.

It was gracious of Fabi to give Nicholas a chance with g2, as you wisely observed and commented Agad: Fabi would not have normally played that move. And so Nicholas was given a chance to test his metal against the gods of chess. Alas, he is possibly disappointed in himself failing to find the color switch near the end, the lateral move of the black queen to access the h2 square after advancing the prawn. Time pressure is one thing, playing against Fabi quite another. Nicholas has some way to go. As he is 24 years old and has even earned a degree he can, if he so wishes, dedicate himself to chess as it would be a pity with so much invested and achieved to not at least find out how far he can go. Good coverage. Thank you Agad.

(Spoiler alert) Theodorou is an extremely strong grandmaster. I've been following him for a while and in my opinion he's very underrated. I kinda had a feeling he could beat Fabi, wasn't surprised when it happened, also because of the tournament format

On the quqote by Magnus: Wang Yue (China's board 5 for the Olympiad and personal friend of Ding) was streaming and said "I don't believe he (Gukesh) dare to calculate everything after Kg7 in 10 mins". Turned out he was right.

Since last 6 games no single praising word for gukesh by magnus .. and he is just rooting for ding.. There are three reasons for this.. 1. Two golds in olympiad by india... which magnus team was not.. ( will never ). 2. Gukush was undefeated in olympiad where magnus lost one game... 3) very important point.. if gukesh win wc he will be youngest one in the history of chess.. which record magnus will never ever break in this life... Thats why so hate for guki and soft corner for ding...

How does that work? Suppose Ding loses his title? He wont even get a spot in the next candidates? Sounds a bit too harsh, especially when we have people like Abasov and Vidit qualifying. It will take away the sheen from the candidates tournament even further.
