Rowan Wick can throw a fastball approximately 100 mile/h, which would be a significant asset in Japanese baseball.
However, many of his pitches are clearly either out of the strike zone (obvious balls) or right in the strike zone, making it easy for Japanese batters to distinguish and avoid swinging at balls.
Therefore, he needs to throw more pitches in zones where it is difficult for batters to determine whether they are strikes or balls.
That's really all he needs. So, there's no reason for him to feel discouraged.
With such a fantastic fastball, if he can throw pitches that just miss the strike zone, he should have nothing to fear.
