Bonjour, l’explication de la différence entre ”me” et ”I”, n'est pas très évidente pour moi, y’a t’il eu une vidéo sur le sujet, car j'ai déjà lu "you and I” et "you and me”

10'10: Shouldn't "yet" be placed at the end of the sentence? "There is hope yet". Or is it indifferent?
@christiandechaux95335 ай бұрын
@@cyruschang1904 Thank you Cyrus for the information about the use of "indifferent" in English. But I think you know that “indifférent” in French also means “without interest, without importance.”
@duncansmith75625 ай бұрын
In English, there is a lot of flexibility regarding where "yet" goes in a sentence. "Yet, there is hope" "There is yet hope" There is hope, yet" are all fine to say.
@christiandechaux95335 ай бұрын
@@cyruschang1904 Hello Cyrus. I'm sorry, but I'm a bit confused about (by?) your last answer. Do you mean that if in French I can say “c'est indifférent”, I can't say in English “it is indifferent”? Is that right?
@duncansmith75625 ай бұрын
@@cyruschang1904 Hey, Cyrus. What would you say is the difference in meaning between the two?
@duncansmith75625 ай бұрын
@@cyruschang1904 so, from what you say here, "hope still exists" and "there is still hope" have 2 completely different meanings? "Despite the bad news, hope is still there" and "there is, despite the bad news, hope" sounds pretty similar to me! If we replace "yet" with "despite everything", the two sentences come out the same to me. "Despite everything, there is hope" "There is, despite everything, hope" hmmm
