This scene inexplicably and to this day, some 30 years on, deeply affected my relationship with... Rhythm on a metaphysical level.

Whenever Redgrave appears "Blow Up" is suddenly alive, she's not like the cool mod zombies everywhere else in the movie, and even the photographer's immaturity is less annoying.

I always found her initial head-bopping quite hilarious. Her character is weirdly wound-up yet seems up for anything - a hint into her duplicity. Here's my video about Blow-Up: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXKphZRviayfpJo

You're right. She looks ridiculous - like a convent nun trying to party.

But why? What is the psychological meaning of this phrase? dont undestand this scene. Explain me please

Not too sure about it, but my guess is it's an insight to the main characters mind. He's the type of guy that goes against the rhythm in a way that is still charming and fluid.

I love Blow-Up as a groundbreaking piece of cinema but this is probably the worst scene in the film. It's cringeworthy and totally unnecessary.
