43:20 the correct play here is actually to target the dragon with infernal grasp, it creates a treasure and opponent will use it to sacrifice the hermit to counter it, but since your grasp is countered, you won’t lose 2 life, and the treasure is gone so no difference in the end aside from you end up with 2 more life

I really love the necroduality, it is such a well designed, good card. 4 mana cost is fair and it does not have any silly "when zombie dies exile it" shenanigans.

40:25 The reason for this is because exploit is actually two different abilities. The creature has an ETB trigger that give you the option to sacrifice a creature and a separate triggered ability that triggers when it exploits a creature. Since the source of the exploit trigger had already left the battlefield, sacrificing a creature would not trigger the "When this creature exploits a creature..." ability.

See this is why when I got two Necrodualities in my Pre-release kit, the one bought not the one I took to the table, I was like "I have one Zombie Commander deck I probably could put the other in my trade binder in a month when it's worth 30+ and get some flip lands or a good piece of tech I need for a deck...then stopped and looked at all the zombie stuff I got from Mid and was like "We never play Dimir maybe we should?" This video makes me think I'll play them at least once before I decide. Cool deck, Seth!

Depends on what he's got out on the field. Both Skull Skaab and Headless Rider require him to sac non-token creatures, so saccing a token makes no sense in those situations.

I'm working on a Historic Necroduality deck using Shapeshifters. Realmwalker, Metallic Mimic, Bloodline Pretender, Faceless Agent, etc. Collected Company has been great and Incubation Druid has great synergy with Metallic Mimic. Had an awesome win via Absorb Identity when I bounced their 8/8 Gate Colossus and attacked for 24. I would love to see your take on this idea, or even just incorporating some of the colorless shapeshifters into a legit Zombie deck.

Dimir zombies is just so much fun now, was with MID, but VOW gave it some card to get over the top. I think Cemetary Desecrator just doesn't mesh well with zombie aggro. You rarely get to him and usually you want to cast multiple zombies a turn if you can to maximize your triggers on necroduality and keep the good times rolling. A one of Geralf, Visionary Stitcher can be fun sometimes. Especially against mono green when the board states get locked up with a bunch of creatures on both ends. Drop Geralf and swing for lethal in the air.

I climbed from bronze to platinum in a matter of hours with a similar build. Haunting voyage and crippling fear have proven amazing. Instead of exploit package I run archgoul of thraben and Acerrak. I have turns where I just breeze through the dungeon of the mad mage. I also run bloodstiched? Skaab? The 2 drop that gives +1/+0 to zombies. It's a pretty aggressive follow up turn 2 off of turn 1 champion. I'm very impressed. First time in platinum.

The creature that triggers the exploit trigger can sac itself but if you sac one that hasnt resolved yet, it leaves the battlefield, by the time that exploit triggers it has left the battlefield and exploting wont trigger its effect. Think of it like this, Sadisi sac itself - triggers Sadisi trigger on stack - removal exploit triggers - no tutuor if you sac by now, but its a maybe ability so you can say no.

If you don’t want to spend the rares on headless rider, Archghoul of Thraben is an amazing budget option. I actually have much preferred it over the rider, as it also triggers on tokens. While some tokens are a nice replacement after a wipe, I’d rather just have a full grip of fresh zombies to copy with necroduality next turn.

This deck doesn't seem quite as explosive or powerful as I've seen Scutehouse of Horrors be. Counters from playing blue are nice, but you die pretty easily to big fliers here and the green match up can be scary if they catch you with a combat trick, especially when you're losing a bunch of health to your own draws and don't have the upside of inkeeper life gain that that deck has.
