The video doesn't match the song's message at all. It's about having someone life-changing in your life but it just doesn't work out to stay with them and the void that's left when they're gone. It's much worse having had a relationship like this and all of these amazing memories that should be inspiring and comforting but they're really just painful and sad thinking back to a time, a place, and a person you loved but can never go back to (and wouldn't be healthy to go back to even if you could.)

Interesting to see how different the reactions to the kiss in this and in Alex Goot's Wake Up Call. Tbh I think people are way overreacting. People kiss in music videos whether or not they're with each other (though frankly both of them are super hot and would they would make a pretty damn cute couple). Also, surprised nobody has mentioned how killer Chrissy's make-up in her broken up scenes. It's very well done and incredibly appropriate to the scene how much it changes between that and the relationship scenes.
