I was just door dashing and stumbled upon a gravel pit today. Found 4 nice chunky agates! I wish I had a bigger saw lmao, I think mines 5in and the agates are far larger than that diameter :')

I'd say that was a successful agate hounding day! That last cut one is a beauty. I love the little pocket with the orange spray around it, in the quarts!!

Every time I watch, I think that slabs of some of these stones would make cool mosaics. I think some of the quartz heavy ones would make awesome abstract 'stained' glass window pieces.

I come for the agates, I stay for the way you pronounce the word because it reminds me of my childhood. (Born in western NY and moved to AZ when I was 9.)

If you had made the cut closer to the window, would there have been more banding and less quartz? with how the window looks and how the quartz expanded where you cut, suggests what I'm thinking. Would you consider making a second cut closer to the window? this is where my curiosity takes me with this one. I love watching your channel.

I would suggest you go ahead and slab the Meh stones, and turn them into Light Catchers. Such as covers for night lights, or fashion them so they hang in a window, so the light shines through them. I WOULDN'T polish these slabs, because the whole point is: the light shining through them.
