Meaningless, hey? You don't think that establishing who Wiccan is, and how he came to be inhabiting the body of William Kaplan, is important, or interesting? Finding out why exactly he wants to walk the road? I'm really curious now as to what you think the 'landing' is _supposed_ to be - I trust that the show creators have a plan, so I don't think this episode is 'meaningless' on any level...
