I'm happy people are defending this show ik not everyone will like it, but it is messed that they are trying to tear down the show they don't realize there are fans who love the way the show is going like me I hope the show succeeds the first 2 episodes were fun I hope they keep that way or the haters will blame the show flopping because it's woke🙄.

Funnily enough I didn’t think it was that woke, especially by Marvel standards. I mean if people are upset because Wiccan is Gay - he’s Gay in the comics lol - and I absolutely could see a gay teen stanning for an ancient, powerful witch like Agatha. It’s not like he’s “yas girling” every other sentence lol. My main criticism is that it’s kinda boring so far, but we’re only two eps in.

Were the Power Rangers woke? They did the color scheme and one Asian one black thing. Witches are predominately women. I don’t see how people find that woke. The Green Witch character is named Hart. The name on the list was Black Heart. Agatha said it was black because of the ink. Plaza’s character said she has a heart. It’s just black. Plaza’s character is the green witch they need. That’s why Agatha ate the paper. I think Mephisto cast the spell on “the male lead”. We all know who he is. Do we think his beefy boyfriend was shapeshifting? The first two episodes brought a lot. Multiple people want Wanda back alive. Wanda in the MCU is too reminiscent of Jean/Dark Phoenix. The telepathy and telekinetic abilities, going dark, dying and resurrection, the red hair instead of auburn or dark brown. I wonder how they are going to distinguish the two.

"Woke" implies social justice, looking at everything through a lens of oppressed vs oppressor (ie Marxism), which means hating Whites, males, Christians, "c*sgenders" and anyone who is politically to the right of Stalin. Simply put, woke = hate.

In my opinion (and of course it's only that), there is pretty much a niche for everyone (or ideally should be), especially in a franchise as wide ranging as Marvel (comics and tv). The people complaining that they "don't know who this show is made for" are assuming everyone has the same tastes as them. This show is made for me, completely and totally. From what I've seen in the last 2 episodes, it's everything I want and expect in a show focusing on the magical and witchy side of Marvel. 😊 It truly boggles my mind (even moreso now because I used to be one of those people who bought into the whole grifting/anti-woke rhetoric) that just because a show has elements that aren't considered classically conservative, that it's automatically setting up an "agenda" or pushing "the message". If anything, Agatha All Along would lose some of its authenticity (as a witchy show) if it DIDN'T present some of the queer aspects or fringe/gothic elements, because that's its niche. 😂 Glad I stumbled on this! Enjoy listening to ya!

Exactly. I grew up with the witchy side of marvel. So this show is for me. Not to mention I am absolutely in love with the cast and as a parks and rec fan super excited for Aubrey plaza. But this show clearly has an audience and a big one at that and it’s clearly not for the anti-woke cult. These people complain about anything with queer characters in them and women. Especially when it’s female lead. So I’ve stopped listening to them tho I am getting sincerely fed up with people like that.

@@Aprilthedark I second that, all the way. (I cringe when I read their comments because, not so long ago, I thought along a similar vein when it came to modern movies and shows. I'm so glad I left that and can appreciate a show without trying to find out how it's "being woke" and trying to find ways to be offended by it.) Good storytelling is just that; good storytelling.

@@animezing2133 exactly. And I’m super excited for Agatha and teens relationship. Like she seems like she cares about him. And I’m super excited for Rios reveal. Especially after the leaks 😭 And the casting choice is just amazing. the small things like that, that really make you appreciate the show. Not finding ways to be a homophobic and ageist bigot. But I’m glad people are defending the show cuz alt right cult members are only but a minority. They do this to ever non-straight white male show that comes out.

Like Marvel shows aren’t allowed to be fun anymore. 🙄 as someone who only cares about the “witch and magical aspect” of marvel and read THOSE comics. This show is for me.

I'm no chud, but the show is boring. That and I have no desire to keep watching the show. Agatha is insufferable and that fight with Audrey Plaza had all the tension of a wet noodle. The recruitment of the witches was on some mundane BS like "hey, what are you doing?". I don't dig it, so I'm not watching any more of it. You have fun, I'm going to watch The Strain on Hulu.
