She had us all. Even we, the audience, had this feeling she could be good. That there's something noble or justified in her actions, something she wouldn't tell. Most MCU villains justify themselves and think they are the good guys. She's different. Centuries of goading and killing her fellow witches and she *loved* every minute of it. Hands down my favorie MCU villain from now on. Pure, unbriddled evil.

Billy unintentionally and subconsciously saved Alice, Lilia, and Jennifer from having their powers and life force siphoned off from them at the end of the ballad. Well, he delayed Agatha killing Alice, but he saved Lilia from dying by Agatha's manipulation, and Jennifer got her powers back. I'm not sure what Agatha would have done with Sharon since she's not actually a Witch, tbh.

@@northway8209technically, yes. But at the same time these witches were all in desperate need of something. That’s what the premise of the lure was. To gain something you need most. Some may have had selfish intentions. Some may have been simply in a bad time of their life and needed answers as Billy ended up needing answers about his family. So, while they did attack her and let their emotions get the better of them, solely because of words, I’m sure there were witches who were just desperate for something they *needed* and Agatha lured them in with her song of hope. Then she verbally berated them. Personally, I would feel bad for some but I also see your point of view. I’m just thinking from the perspective that some might have had pure intention and desperation to find someone or something and they got killed in a moment where they were disappointed that the road didn’t appear on top of Agatha berating them.

Lila wouldn't have fallen for it. When recruiting a very reluctant lila Agatha makes the mistake of telling her : Agatha can't take their powers unless they blast her with their magic. If Agatha in any way mentioned needing to be hit with their magic- lila would have known it was a power grab

“Eerie resemblance? “ It’s just two brunettes wearing red lipstick. Also those outfits scream 1920s. The lady across from Agatha has a late Edwardian jacket. The skirts are long and the silhouette is drop-waisted. In the 40s skirts were knee length, and the waists were much higher. Also the hats are a dead giveaway. The slouchy cloche and felt styles they’re all wearing are 19teens-30s. By the 40s it was fedoras, pill-boxes, and various fascinator styles with more structure. I don’t think this is in any way a reference to Peggy.

It’s also noted that she said she couldn’t use magic 🎉heal, protect or divinate and also couldn’t use green magic which controlled the flow of life to help Nicky. So then for the next hundreds of years, she went after those witches specifically after he died. It kind of feeds into the guilt of not being able to save him or give him more time to live.

I will say this and I am not defending her in ANY way, but like all she would do is call them some names and they would go into instant attack/kill mode lol. She never tells them that she lied about the Road, just that they are “worthless” or not “worthy” of the Road and they just try to kill her, which of course is what she is hoping for. I wonder why no one brings it up that with this coven, because Agatha was no longer under the Darkhold's influence, she inadvertently stopped herself from killing them. Had she not told Lillia how her powers worked, she would have been able to just kill the as she would before.

The series mentioned “spark” which happen when several witches gather in close proximity. 1) Maybe Agatha included Jen to increase the likelihood of spark. 2) Maybe she hoped that Jen will somehow gain power through the spark. 3) Or maybe it’s just that Agatha had only a day to assemble a coven with witches around Westview so she didn’t have much choice.

She must've acquired it in modern times. In all the flashbacks, her fingers are normal. Wanda only had it one year and it turned the tips of her fingers black. Agatha's finger were almost all black meaning she must've had it for only a few more years than Wanda.

If they had a bigger budget I would have changed a few things. -A bigger final battle -Agatha interacting with mortals in the different eras -Agatha possibly going on a massacre to showcase her true power -Agatha visibly showcasing the power of dozens of witches as she has absorbed so much power (maybe like natural disasters or something)

I love that they didnt really redeem Agatha in the show, but moreso punished her as being a ghost who cant use her power at full strength and will be forced to become Billy's mentor as he's the only one who has enough patience for her. I also appreciate that her being a mother doesnt really make up for anything. definitely looking forward to her future evilness in the next projects

If they continue the series The only thing she's seeking is ultimate. At one point I felt bad for Agatha but now I know she is the true definition of a sociopath. It really felt rushed for a back story and kinda dry. I got so excited from the episode trailers and thought she was draining the current coven of their power. I still don't understand because it seems like she made a deal with death to keep Nicolas alive by killing witches because the day they didn't Nicolas died. But even after he dies she just keeps killing? I guess whatever eases your grief but it was nice to see Agatha as a ghost and a personality to boot. I wish I could have seen Agatha fight more in this she just kinda threw some slaps. Maybe even fight billy but no

I think the only thing about this that confuses me or at least my question for the series, when did she acquire the dark hold. As you can see from Wanda, it only took her a few months for her hands to turn black to show her corruption, did they forget that? Or like in Wandavison, Agatha can glamour her hands so it’s not visible

Now, I KNOW we're not meant to think about this, I know the showrunner/writers/etc didn't mean for this to be the takeaway but I want to mention it anyway just because I keep thinking about it. So. I imagine she ran this grift a lot, but how often did it work? Naturally we'd only see the successful attempts in the montage, but the coven ONLY dies if they attack this stranger for insulting them. Also, since if a bunch of people attacked you with the intention to maim or kill, you would be justified in defending yourself... Even though Agatha plans on this, don't the coven ultimately decide their own fate when they attack her? Like the witch offering the rose to The Beast in Beauty and the Beast. She makes the offer knowing if he's cruel to her he'll suffer, but she doesn't control his decision to be cruel, and therefore she wasn't the villain of that story. So, if these women hadn't attacked her... what would be their fate? And can we really call Agatha a serial killer just because a bunch of hot headed witches attack her (not knowing the inevitable result) time and again? What is their level of responsibility for their fates? By contrast, the women who let Agatha and baby Nick into their protective circle are absolutly victims (it seems, we don't see), and the whole shot is framed differently. I dunno, I think it's interesting to explore even though we're clearly not meant to. Just, fun to think about that Lilia stopping them from attacking Agatha immediately saved them all and gave them the ability to go on their journey.

They changed the narrative for the movies/shows. it is all different to the comics. The Witches road was real in comics, Agatha and Wanda wandered the road and Wanda was the one to kill Agatha. the show and movies have a different narrative and are pick and chose what aspects they like from the comics. on the show the road wasn't real until Billy made it real. Billy sealed the road in Agatha's basement but i guess it could possibly be opened if someone can get past his magic and knew where to look
