In a serendipitous moment I discovered as a fairly new didge player that I have a fallen agave flower stalk right in my yard! I believe it's also been there for at least a year, if not more. I just realized it would be the perfect project. I restore furniture as well so it's definitely going to be a growth and learning experience, but so glad I found your work.

Hi, did you harvest the flower stalk when it was still fresh or you cut it when still green? I have one in my garden too but not sure if I should wait until it dies off

Hi, I like the video and also the rhythm you play at the begining and end of this video. Would you be so kind and break a bit down please? Where you breathe and so on? Thanks In advance. I also have agave stick and i am Just on a way to make a didge out of it.

I wish that I could play as good as her, Maya Augutina Mosca, one of my favorite dodge performers! Look her up on KZbin

Love the video! I'm excited to make one. I'm so have a question. What is the best way to dry the flower stalk?

Glad you liked the video and got inspired enough to want to make your own agave didge! Just select a naturally dried stalk, one where the plant itself is all dried out. Otherwise let the stalk sit in a sheltered place for about six month or until dried out, the stalk s.b. very lite weight due to the loss of moisture. Good luck.
