Better to build your town in the left most corner, near the gold piles there. Then you can do a trade route between the markets and actually generate some gold. I also prefer to build the dock on the monk's island where it can't be touched or threatened by the AI regardless of how the rest goes. Usually I end up securing the bottom bridge with a gated wall and towers, then the top shallows (that you boated over for some reason) with a wall, then just guard the center bridge with troops or towers if you like. The AI isn't too aggressive on this level so even that much defense is overkill if you just want to make troops and end it.

Why you always build pikeman than swordsman even you can upgrade into champion ? I think swordsman has critical damage than pikeman
