You can learn the basics of the game and be a pro in a day since the economy manages itself. There is little strategy involved. Forts are weak and can be taken down easily. The maps are smaller. It has bad online support. Even ensemble studios said it was bad. It focuses too much on graphics and not on game play. Its fun at first but gets boring after a while. The campaigns are ok but you can only play them all once until they get boring.

toofer You are full of fuckin shit man. There is a lot of strategy involved and I'm pretty sure based on what you've said you got your ass handed to you. You need to have a good micro in the game and you can defeat larger forces if you manage your own well. There is a million different types of strategies but it takes time to learn which are the ones that work and then you can develop your own formula that not only works but is hard to counter. It definitely doesn't take a day to become a pro.

_Last time I played this game was in year 2011/2012, but I still remember the details like if it were yesterday_ _Yea the stereotype feature of every civilizations among players_ _British: the most expensive and require advanced player, as it the most balanced civilzation since it's the mascot_ _Spaniard: easy and simple, start with dogs and things, can be manipulated by beginners_ _Russians: weak and slow, but their unique costumized arsenals give them the vibe_ _Chinese: friendly and useful allies with really strong economy but moderate army , poorly armed and bad labors_ _French: best labors and most connected with natives_ _Portuguese: a mixture of dutch and spainards_ _Ottoman: my favorite, ,most exclusive non Asian civilization, with endless labors that came all the time like slaves_ _Germans: very strong regulars, and strong labors but very expensive and bad economist, plus hard to manipulate_ _Indians: the most civilization with exclusive units, strong economist , too many mercenaries, but very weak labors_ _Dutch: verbally the best economist, successful bankers, however they make weak units and in need of foreigners to hire_ _Japanese: they got the two strongest units in the game, but actually among its weakest civilizations overall_ _Aztecs: moderate strong, but once break they will collapse easily, bright side they are the only good economist natives_ _Comanche: they only live to fight, will produce great attack waves, but weak protections to their territory_ _Iroquois: very useless, and backward units, the only thing they are good at is messaging_ _camping mode_ _Malta: very limited and not much can be used_ _Americans: verbally are designed to be the master civilization, but parallel to the storyline they are censored_
