This was incredible to watch. Never got into the game myself but i randomly stumbled opon this tournament live yesterday and through the sheer charisma of the host i stayed and became kind of a fan. I think the UI can be improved, both the bracket whicht was upscaled too high and the ingame Score with numbers not even being centred in their ring, but other than that the games were great and super fun to watch. Big parts due to the excellent casting done. Ima defenitly tune in next week for the next one...

it's kinda funny how, compared to AoE2, the strategies are so different but you can tell the players are used to the old ones, ya know? like I haven't seen tower rushes, but I've seen tons of defensive towers, way more than in any aoe2 game. Walling actually uses walls since buildings don't block very well anymore, but they aren't necessarily trying to fast-castle. I'm excited to see new strategies

Could you suggest a faction to play for a beginner? I am maining the French for now, but even though people are vastly overestimating how OP they are (except Hulks, they are bs), this makes me kind of want to play a different faction. Also not the biggest fan of their heavy focus on cav/archers in the late game. Maybe something a bit more balanced/versatile in their approach or even a tier list in your opinion. Anyway, watching this is really fun and you get to learn a lot.

Is it not possible for the Chinese to do the exact same early rush with their supervisor as Delhi?
@turinRTS3 жыл бұрын

@danielmoniz3943 жыл бұрын
@@turinRTS The Imperial Official can supervise a production building (instead of a resource drop-off site) for triple production speed. It should make the Chinese very versatile! One of each military building, plus an official, should be enough to react to anything.
@Matthew-hl5eg3 жыл бұрын
@@danielmoniz394 You can "technically" proxy with a supervisor and a single vill, but it's fairly risky and fairly easy to counter, just scout or kill the supervisor. Defensive supervisor capabilities are much more significant, and I normally see it done with clocktower spam, but early game works well. On that note, the supervise ability also has the effect of reducing research times. So eco upgrades from mill or camps and unit techs are done 200% faster, but can't supervise a blacksmith for some reason. Great for an early hunt eco with a quick mill+official getting a quick survival techiques. Note - doesn't work with docks. I was so saddened when I learned this.

You should let the first person ban 2... but the opponent gets to pick one first. Then they have to be smart about who they ban because banning two strong factions for your opponent to take the one you want would hurt. Make them ban with some concern. That's the way most MOBAS do it like DOTA2.

unfortunately this game will nevere be a big esport. It really could but it needs to be far more micro friendly. Actions need to feel instant. Look at Star Craft. The game literally is entertaining becasue split second moves decide entire battles. The macro is also a great thing but a game needs to have both to break into popularity. This game has macro. Micro is trash though.
