I had a second family of sorts growing up. We were rural and they were just over the hill. I would walk over whenever I pleased, sometimes I would spend the weekend. All the kids were 10 years older than me, at least, and I mostly was content watching them play Super Smash Bros. Melee or Halo CE. But the computer had something magical. This game called Age of Empires II. I loved it so much, even though I completely blew at it. They were a Christian family, so the mother didn't like the idea of little-babby-me playing violent games on Sunday. Rational enough, I suppose, but it always sucked that I was locked away from that gem for half my time there. Then in came the younger son, my boi. He reasoned that Age of Empires is a historical game, an educational experience--the history overrides the bloodshed: Mom agreed. That year, I opened my Christmas gift from them. It was their copy of AoE II.

I started playing when I was 5 , until 13 , then the computer broke , the game was AoE1.1 ,1.2 ,AoE2 Kings, And AoE2 Conquerors. It was limited edition and Super old , it doesnt work On new PC `s😢😢

WOLOLOOOOOO The most hilarious thing in AOEII was the William Wallace tutorial where the guy kept on saying "MEN AT ARMSSSS!" He said "You can upgrade ur militia to Men at Arms at the Barracks by clicking the button that says upgrade to Men at Arms. This will upgrade ur militia to the more powerful Men at Arms! Now you can defeat the English with ur more powerful Men at Arms! Great, now the English are no match to your Men at Arms!!!"

Tengo 15 años y tengo la dicha de decir que jugue el mejor puto juego de la historia en estrategia y guerra mediaval. aun me recuerdo de este juego cuando lo jugue por primera vez a los 7-8 años y me trae nostalgia lo volví a jugar a mis 12 años ya despues me retire y volví de nuevo con esas tantas ansias de querer jugarlo de nuevo, es de esos juegos que a pesar de haberlo jugado un buen tiempos sabras que lo volveras a jugar un buen tiempo en otros dos añitos mas o menos diría ya que en cualquier momento se te puede venir las ganas de jugarlo porque es tan entretenido que no quieres dejarlo como un juego que jugaste, si no como un juego que quieres seguir jugando por siempre.

Original cd versions had a cd quality soundtrack... In a cd music track(red book), uncompatible with some cd players. Ubisoft published a compilation in a dvd, without music. If you have this edition, youcan play some tracks of any audio cd, because the game still seach for the cd rom track.
