4:10 what a fantastic word, challenging to (then modern) military doctrines and defence paradigms and mentalities. This word sparking spirit of army, which ends an overlong regression of country which lasts more than 2 centuries (Since 1683, Great Turkish War). When the last sensible defence line is broken and an entire homeland is open to occupation, this word initiated fast morale recovery and in very short time saved the whole western Anatolia from occupation, leading the liberation of whole nation. “There is no line defense, there is area defense. That area is the entire homeland. Unless every inch of the homeland is watered with the blood of the citizens, it cannot be abandoned." Ataturk. RIP.

@@AndantesInferno Hi Andante's Inferno! I love this beautiful series of songs and commented about it three months ago. I'm still listening to it almost everyday since it brings me strength and positivity. However, I realize there're two ambiguities in the description of your great video: The less problematic one is, where you titled the Iliad quote as "Greek," the language is really Epic Greek (a specific type of Ancient Greek as opposed to Modern Greek or other ancient dialects of Greece). Still, it is not as much of an issue since Epic Greek is Greek. On the other hand, however, you put Sun Tzu's quote under "Traditional Chinese" when I believe you are trying to say "Classical Chinese," which refers to the language used in writing by ancient Chinese people. "Traditional Chinese" refers to a writing system of Chinese characters in contrast to "Simplified Chinese." I would really appreciate it if you can address the latter if not the former. Thank you! Big fan :)

Not sure why you specified traditional chinese because i don't see the characters in the video. Simplified chinese: 难知如阴,动如雷震 For those interested, it is a line in sun tzu's art of war (i don't think it's in-game). The description did a good job in translating though; the literal meaning is to conceal your plans as if it was in the dark, and to move swiftly as if it was lightning

Hello @Baron Wiliam, thank you for your nitpicking, we like nitpicking:) The reason we used this version is because a native Chinese speaker who was into the Art of War advised us to use this version. Great music, great composition, but I have to mention here that some of the Latin and so-called "Epic Greek" isn't correct here. As for the first Greek part, you are referring to Homer, Iliad 22.304-5: μὴ μὰν ἀσπουδί γε καὶ ἀκλειῶς ἀπολοίμην, / ἀλλὰ μέγα ῥέξας τι καὶ ἐσσομένοισι πυθέσθαι. Transliterated: mè man aspoudi ge kai askeiôs apoloimèn, / alla mega rhexas ti kai essomenoisi puthesthai. You probably quoted some modern Greek translation. The Latin quote "Fabrum esse suae quemque fortunae" does not make sense in this context. It is now a subordinate clause (accusativus cum infinitivo), you need to make a main clause: "Faber est suae quisque fortunae" or something like that (word order can be changed to liking). Also, I am not quite sure what you want to express with "De Novo incipiens", but I am sure the Latin isn't correct here. Is it "About a new beginning" or "starting anew" that you want to say? If so, correct would for example be "De novo ortu". Again, great work, but can't help mentioning this to make it even better!

If I'm being honest, yes, it is a good piece of music. But honestly, it felt far more like an age of empires III soundtrack in most part, not II (for example 1:00). It was often missing that medieval vibe. Sometimes it even felt more like Skyrim or the Witcher. Also, it lacked a bit of punch. Most of the tracks were slowed down version of music used in the game and I didn't feel much power when there should have been
@AndantesInferno5 жыл бұрын
That's true about the tempo. Our version is slower than the original, and it is not as sharp and punchy as you mentioned. However the original is already made, and in our vision, the original's glory is its original composer's to carry. We also tried to portray something from our hearts. Thank you very much for your kind critique and nice words. We do appreciate your honesty and interest.
