Our breakthrough game today ended up being a draw. But I nearly tabled the vampiric undead. We ended up exchanging home points. I was unable to kick the bat beast off my point by the end of the game. Interestingly, since we played the 3.2 rules and now impact is no longer an attack. Therefore, you cannot strike back against it, since it's not a melee. In exchange you cannot force a route this way. I was able to use the great death roller to great effect! Fun game, the ratmen did great! Thanks for doing the 2nd chance for the ratmen. Looking forward to what you have up next!

Wait, how does that work? sure, you can't strike back against just impact(X) theoretically, but it says "Roll X dice when attacking after charging." You have to be attacking. By definition, if you are impacting, you are attacking. since you are attacking, you have to be using a weapons profile and the melee sequence of attacks, right? I think of the rule like, when pooling hits from weapons, roll extra dice (not attacks) If you also charged. For every 2+, add extra hits to the pool. Impact is sort of like casting, it's just extra hits not tied to a specific weapon and it can only be used at a specific time after charging. Since you technically "build" your pool of hits all at once (I know, everyone goes weapon by weapon, but you are technically supposed to build your pool of dice first) you can roll impact last if you want. It doesn't matter when you roll it, it hits when all the other "hits" do in melee.

This was great, well done ratmen! I would really really like to see some bigger armies with some of those larger units in play. This report was about 12mins I could go longer on a vid to see a bigger battle. Keep up the great work!

Pretty sweet game. You ever consider using the objective cards? My group has had the most dynamic game with those. Only change we make is anyone can discard a card they don't like after each round with the player down in points able to discard all cards. We kept getting stuck with cards we couldn't get. The change has made every game since a nail biter.

Those rats are on some mad max shit lol. Awesome army. When you picked the slaves block the fate of the game was set. Terrible unit. If you need tematic chaff ally with goblins. But I must say the havoc dwarfs list is in need of serious attention. Many units lack core weapons and commande. The only spell caster can't even take a mount. The monsters are very redudant brawlers and so on. They can't take anti ambush amd the spell caster can't take a mount. Meaning havoc dwarf wizards get instantly ambushed and defeated.

I have been looking at havoc dwarfs for quite some time now, and i have a question for the havoc dwarf list, why did he pick charred shield over black heart which would have given the imortals another save against taking a wound?

It would work out sorta the same. The regeneration would give a 5+ to ignore the wound over the 6+ black heart save.

@@emilhummelshj-agerholm4102 I see what I did. I think I had them in there and had a few more points to spend so I put on charred shield. That character couldn't take black heart.
